@@code3responsevideos872 Yeah bro. I think others would agree that the K5LA and your Groover Horn are a good mix. You should show us where you have that K5LA mounted at.
Great question. Mine is setup on a Voltage Sensitive Relay or VSR. The VSR allows me to use a separate battery or batteries to power the Q. It’s wired so the truck battery/alternator are disconnected while the Q is ON and reconnected (recharges the battery) when the Q is OFF. This way it doesn’t put a high load on the vehicle system. You can buy a VSR for around $100.
I have 2 different ones. The first one is a Grover emergency horn and the second is a Wolo Chief Horn. The Wolo is much cheaper and sounds about the same as the Grover.
@@bladenrexroth2555 my air setup runs at 135 max, but they still sound great even at 90. Mostly the volume is what matters. My tank feeds the horns with a 3/4 ID hose and 3/4 solenoid. You really can’t tell a dB difference between 90-135 psi. But 60 is noticeably quieter.
@@bladenrexroth2555 I could turn mine up to 150 but technically I believe it is only rated at 130 from the manufacturer… although I’ve heard of people running it at 200 before 😂 it’s the loudest horn I’ve ever heard. It literally will hurt your ears if I blow it with the windows down 😂
OMG the Q and the Grover horns were impressive, but a K5LA? Dude you’re crazy… crazy cool 😎
Thanks! I love a challenge and building things
Holy crap I thought the day would never come. You uploaded again amazing response as always 👏.
Thanks
Been waiting for this!!!!!! great stuff as always, love the truck.
When you threw in that K5LA train horn.. *chef kiss*
Great Setup Love the Q Siren its Awesome
It's funny, yet sad how that one car REFUSED to move until you hit them with the train horn. Then it was "omg I move now." STUPID, STUPID PEOPLE
Sweet K5LA. I’d be very interested to see this build! It was quite the project getting a K3 rigged on my ride. Job well done!
2 Horns. Dude, it works and sounds like a Keeper.
Thanks

@@code3responsevideos872 your welcome.

How many compressors do you have & what size air tank are you using?
I am using a custom belt driven 12v compressor and 32 gallons of air storage. I designed and built the compressor myself.
Thats Full Sheep Dog right there
What do you use to get the q2b siren working?

What type of dash cam do you use?
I use the Aukey DRO2 from Amazon.
@todd highly recommended
I bet that cruze Absolutly shit them selves 😂😂😂😂
The Q will kill off the alternator / truck in 3 months.
Thanks but you have no clue what you are talking about. This Q has been on my truck for 2 years and my alternator is 15+ years old
A K5!!!
Thanks! It’s an older K5LA that came from California. It is in great shape and I am running it with a 30 gallon tank and custom built air compressor.
@@code3responsevideos872 what psi is needed to make it roar?

@@code3responsevideos872 i just watched a couple of videos on installing the K5. They did a 1/4 mile test at 150psi and its terrifying lol.
