Match 28 of the Bodycare presents 2nd NC Bakshi Memorial T20 Cup was played at Essex Farms Cricket Club & Academy at Chhawla on 23rd February 2024, between Udey Bhan CA and Sankalp CA. In this last quarter final encounter, Sankalp CA won the toss and elected to field.
Batting first, Udey Bhan CA scored 162 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. Vaibhav Sood scored 59 runs off 43 balls and along with Naman Wason’s 42 runs off 22 balls boosted their teams total in the last 8 overs of the innings. Nishant Sidhu took 3 wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs for Sankalp CA. In reply, Sankalp CA could only manage 145 runs for 7 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Ali Malik top scored with 42 runs off 36 balls as Sankalp CA kept losing wickets regularly and fell short by 17 runs. Vaibhav Sood worked his magic with the ball too as he finished with 4 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs to take his team into the Semi Finals where they will meet Delhi Cricket Hub on 24th March 2024.
Vaibhav Sood was adjudged as the Kimati Player of the Match. Ayush Sharma was the Zee News Delhi NCR Haryana Most Active Player of the Match while Nishant Sidhu was the ABSS Sports Fighter of the Match.
Naman Wason won the coveted Orange Cap for being the highest run scorer while Vaibhav Sood took home the coveted Purple Cap.
