Thank you so much for this easy and fun tutorial. As a classically trained piano player 2 decades ago who’s only resumed playing recently, I’m working to regain dexterity but also to explore other music styles. I’m rewatching this over and over 😅
Sy dr Indonesia.. sangat lucu saat mengajarkan tp mudah di fahami n di mengerti.. sy sangat suka dgn piano rock n roll yg belajar otodidak.. terima kasih .
Oh dang!!! I ❤️❤️ this! Thanks Christian. I’m in a band for the first time after playing at a jam for four years and this is just what I need… You’re a gig-saver 😋😋🎹🎹🎹
I appreciate your skills, knowledge and sense of humor. Greetings from Wuppertal. (JazzBluesExile aus California). Mach weiter, Blues Professor. Toi Toi Toi!!!! 😎🔥😎
Someday Christian i'd like to see you show us the intro to Jerry Lee's "Drinking Wine, Spo-Dee-O-Dee" from The London Sessions. What a rocker that one is.
He is NOT a bad teacher at all! In fact,. I will study this method many times cause this is pretty much like Little Richard style!!! Hope he does." Lucille" by little Richard.and.Good.Gollie Miss Molly! As long as this guy plays at a SLOW easy Steps I will get it right! When his keynotes or chords Light UP. this is helpful too! .good job sir being NO so fast til LATER at normal speed 🚄🚅 ! ....do more Rock and Roll !...How about " Angel Baby " by Rosie and the Originals! .yep! ..or " In the Still of the Night" by the Five Satins! Great song ! .do a tutorial.on them please!! . ......⭐💟💟⭐
Christian bro NO one ever did " .For Your Precious Love". by Jerry Butler. OR " Impossible Dream " by Tom Jones please do a.tutorial .on BOTH songs! .big bonus for us! Butler did a Doo Wop on UA-cam a LIVE performance wearing kinda dark grey suit with Harmony singers... ...that version pianist sounded he was making ripping sounds!!... .......,.,. ..♾️💡💡♾️💡
Just looking at the way you play at the start was enough for me to know how to take my blues to rock and roll! Very nice how you use the major and minor scales at the same time as I suspected.
Greetings from Russia!) Thank you, of course, very accessible for me as a beginner). Can I hear the full version? I would like to learn and surprise myself.) Thank you in advance. Your subscriber Andrew.
Hi Christian from Day 3,587 into our 7 day lockdown. I love rock 'n roll.... but not when my left hand plays it! Right hand ....yay yay yippee whoppee yah. Left hand .... retarded 😣 Not enough strength with thumb and fourth and thumb and fifth sound plinky plonk. I've never had the hand strength to keep it up. I can get away with a bar..stop and then let the right hand play a sax or trumpet in my right, then repeat lol. I can manage triplets in left, but shuffle beat is my curse. Will still look at right hand and use it somewhere in my music, so still things to be taken out of this lesson. Thanks once again 😙
I think both ways are fine: Pick what you can use for your other music. But also, fingers can be strengthened! But then again, the very occasional Rock n Roll playing is impracticable. Cause if you then don't do it for 3 weeks or so, the speed and flow will be gone. Some can preserve a level over weeks, some not. I am rather the latter type. If I don't do speed for a while I have to work my way back up...
@@ChristianFuchsBlues Yes, thank you. I don't play enough of rock 'n roll to do it daily like I play other music on the piano. But I still love it.... Just need to find it when I find it. I just get too mad at myself lol. (Not kidding ha) But r 'n r is waiting in the wings for me... maybe the next lifetime for rock and roll and this time for my own music 😊 But I'll endeavour to practice this a bit each day and see how it goes.....again. Strengthened fingers here I come 👍🎶🎹
Hi Christian, I come across your channel for the first time. Very nice. I have a strange question for you. I play piano for a few years. I'm more of a nostalgic player type. I would really love to learn to play rock n roll like you do or more rythmic Elton John. I wonder if you have some tricks to help my brain separate both my hands. Even after all those years, I can't make my left play some rythtm while my right playing other thing off beat. I don't know if my brain is wired differently then most music player lol but god it bug the hell out of me! Any tips? thank you and stay safe!
Minimum, 1 hour a day practice, and that struggle will get easier to over come. At least that's my experience ( 3 years now for me and starting to forget just how tough it was). Keep at it.
Dear Christian. Love your style. I'm 65 slight arthritis in hands . I've recently bought a mid price Yamaha keyboard and want to learn on line. Very limited knowledge of music but Kern to rock and roll and boogie. Do you have a structured lesson package on line that might suit a beginner please?
I did not upload the backing track separately. There are many backing tracks on UA-cam, if you look around a little. And it does not have to be an exact Rock n Roll beat with the sounds I used. . Just something similar.
Awesome, I can actually follow along with you .. thank you for your insight and knowledge and time I love the blues I'm ready to go out and buy a nice electric piano keyboard
I am a musician 65 years, violin, guitar, keyboards, professional working, wanted to learn some r n r piano, but this is way too complicated and you are going much too fast. You don't even say what key you are in! Some of us are not good at theory. I have discalculia, I just couldn't follow this.
Very nice lesson thanks chritian
20 seconds in and I'm already hooked!
