Brilliant video. So much more informative than the reviews from the UA-cam reviewers. Great to be able to see how all the driver aids can be switched off if required. Less than €20k on the road for the 42kwh Inster versus the Dacia Spring, also €20k on the road for the 65hp version with a tiny 27kwh battery. 50% more range in the 42kwh Inster. I will be buying one of these second hand for daughter in two years time. Really safe little car, all the aids to help her and no faffing with gears. These Insters will sell like hotcakes.
@@GinoFoto 🙂 I think it’s a useful strategy to start reducing the carbon footprint of the cars they produce rather than the relying on the more expensive larger electric vehicles🙂
Liking this move from Hyundai, wouldn’t be the biggest fan of electric cars but making the Inster quirky and different at a low price point in todays standards is admirable
Brian you are so informative and enthusiastic- a real credit to Hyundai, you do your research and know the features of the car- so much better than many reviewers. Great value car as other Hyundai Ioniq’s were becoming overpriced V the competition.
Very nice car which alone would convert EV sceptics . Well explained . Being a 49KWh battery this is a Level 002 finish . In Korea I think they might have an electric sunroof thrown in for the top level . Having an included Heat pump is a major benefit for this A segment car . I think they also have some very nice two tone colours on offer .
I ordered one of these a few weeks ago - went with the launch edition as I like the light interior which is apparently not available on any of the other spec levels. Pity it's only available in buttercream yellow 😢 or maybe I'm wrong about this?? I saw the black interior at the Nevo show in the RDS and it really didn't look great. Is there a 360 view cam? I think from the video it doesn't have the blind spot view in the dash when you indicate? Also is the carplay/android auto wireless? Great video by the way!
@@andrewmorgan1802 thanks for watching! The light interior is only on the buttercream exterior .. it’s does not have 360 cam option so you don’t have the blind view monitors and the car unfortunately has been returned so right now I can only assume the CarPlay / android auto will be wireless but I’m not 100% yet .. I think your getting a great deal if you have one ordered as I think this car will go up in price in early 2025 for new orders but I’m only guessing right now 🙂👍
@doolanbrian Thanks for the quick reply. I can live without the 360 cam given the size of the car. I think you're right about the price as I can see it being very popular. It was certainly better than anything else in the segment that I saw at the Nevo show. Most of them were just variations on the Stellantis theme. The Dacia Spring felt very cheap and had no height adjustment for the seat - I'm 6ft1 and headroom in the front was terrible.
@@NigelRudyard hey thanks for watching .. Kona has been a really great EV for the brand and is the foundation for the brands EV market share , glad you like it 🙂👍

Hello! Is there a shortcul to disable the driver attention beeping? The've done it for the the speed alert but it seams they did not learned the lesson and we need to ask, again, for a shortcut. If I still need to go in the infotainment each time when I drive to disable the driver attention monitoring, it's a pretty bad experience. The car itsefl is pretty nice and I'm glad it exists (I have only seen it on the Korean channels) but I'm just frustrated that new cars come with extra annoying features.
