Correct! For “wet” house hold and commercial trash it all goes to the landfill. There is other sorting facilities that deal with dry garbage and try to salvage what they can. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@AllThingsDope. any idea why it is not burned at a W2E plant? The ashes of this load would fill a wheelbarrow, and you'd get electricity and eventually hot water for house heating in the town/city.
Yep it sucks 😂 but after a while you get used to it. At least this place is covered so there isn’t any birds around and it’s not a landfill either so your not stepping in sht 😂
Because vacuum trucks suck. They can’t get everything. This gets it all into a pile and pick it up with a bucket attachment and dump the rest anywhere else that you need to. We do that when we cut butt joints when working with asphalt.
Lots of idiots out there, some guys would back the duals right off the edge into the trailer, and other guys would stop short and drag trash halfway out the door. So yeah, this guy actually dumped it right. It might look simple, but when you see what other guys do, you'd be amazed by the stupidity out there.
@@mcbombtings I noticed the garbage truck still had bits of trash and such left inside after dumping the load, does someone have to clean that out afterwards or do they just simply keep picking up new garbage and never bother cleaning it out since itll just get dirty again?
@Gabagool The driver should clean the debris at the back of the tailgate especially in between the two tailgate locks on each side and on the bottom edge so the the tailgate locks properly and the tailgate seal closes tightly and keeps liquids from dripping out of the back. Any debris on top of the pack blade, under the blade, and behind the blade should be cleaned out on a daily basis. There is a side access door and clean out trough. With the eject blade fully ejected, and the truck locked out, the driver typically climbs in the side access door and shovels any debris that accumulates towards the front of the body and in the pack blade shoe rails. If this isn't done and debris accumulates, it can cause issues with the blade not fully retracting, jamming up during a pack cycle, and hydraulic hose/fitting damage. The minor debris on the floor in the body of the truck typically isn't an issue as the next load of refuse pushed through the truck will clean that out.
@@mcbombtings Hi, thanks so much for your detailed explanation, very interesting stuff. Perhaps a dumb question but what does the driver do with that debris? Is there a dumpster on hand to throw it in haha? I'm assuming the cleaning is done at the station the trucks are serviced at rather than the transfer stations or landfills. Feels like a "does the mailman deliver his own mail" type of question.
Landfills should be banned for most types of trash. Most can be recycled. Most of the rest can be de-gassed or burned to make energy. How much is recycled where you people live? We sort paper, cardboard, tetrapacks, metal, plastic, hazmat, electronics, bottles/food glass, batteries, food waste and "remains" at every private home here in Copenhagen and large parts of the country, and the last parts of Denmark are about to match up now. The recycle stations also have insulation (rockwool/glasswool), clean wood, treated wood, asbestos, clothes, soil, concrete, bricks, window glass, pottery, porcelain and a few other fractions. Only plasterboard, some types of glass and ceramics/pottery are sent off to regular landfill. Insulation, some types of plastic, some types of treated wood, PCB waste, heavy metal polluted items (lead paint, nickel etc.) and asbestos are sent to pollution tight fill cells (guess deposit is the wrong English word?) but Copenhagen with 1.45 mio people and 80,000 companies have left waste at 1000x400 meters (3500x1200 feet) since 1984, and it is still not full (cannot remember how deep the hole was, though).
As a front Loader driver of 30 years when you unload and open the rear door and there’s no trash packed up on the rear door was that even a 7 ton load.
The sad thing is how little is recycled one way or another. Millions of dollars are burnt or buried every day. Some because people don't care or don't know how to sort it, some because materials are mixed to be inseparable and therefore not reusable or recyclable. And then some because people don't have the option to sort it correct.
We have a few Autocar Xpeditor and ours is a Cummins ISX series engine with the RDX 4500 Allison Transmission i rarely seen it in action mostly i see Peterbuilt 520 McNeilus Atlantic series front loader and 320 as well in Atlantic County
Ive droved behind those loaders on the bottom waiting & im telling the smell is unbelievable even if you close your car window the smell still gets in your car 🤮
@@AllThingsDope. I think some are confused by the term "front loader" which often refers to a different piece of equipment (namely the one with the big front-end bucket used during the cleaning footage). These trucks are only legally rated for about 12tons of payload. Most drivers don’t want the ticket so they usually come in around 9-11tons. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Don't wonder or think. Just live your life :D I have been in similar places several times a day for years, and believe I did not get sick from it. Just don't lick your gloves or shoes.
Yes, not after every load. when the transfer station workers at this particular transfer station have time to do it they will. Usually multiple times per day but mostly towards the end of shift. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Actually true story. At this dump about 6 months ago a dead body was dumped here. Someone killed their girlfriend and put her in an apartment compactor. Crazy
Sir, give that driver a raise! ASAP wow that's what I call skills.
Haha it a dirty job but someone has to do it!
Professional.
No one butt him can sit in the truck and pull handles.
Good job... I'm watching from Dipolog city Zamboanga del Norte Philippines
I love that little bobcat floor cleaner. Is there a household model that I can buy for my kitchen floor?
and i bet all this go to a landfill unsorted, so typical American
thanks for the video

Nothing like garbage mist to cool you down on a hot day.
Haha so true! It’s pretty nasty when that breeze catches the garbage mist and smacks you in the mouth!
I said this that’s triflin. I’ll have to make a window or something 🤣
Awesome video
Anyone else curious how a novice dumps the truck compared to how the professional dumped his truck?
That looked like a light load…the wrosrt part about front loader is the clean out

The garbage truck was very silent when it was reversing. It should have a backup alarm when it's reversing.
I would love to go through that trash

I feel Bad for the Skidsteer driver getting sprayed with the garbage juice

Where is this? I’d love to see this in person!!
Sad to see how much trash we produce
Its not sad if all this trash is actually from the garbage can
Buy the guy on the skid steer with broom a cab.
Facts😂👌🏼
It's still sad how much trash humans make in this world
Apparently it’s still not enough to cover up a a place the size of rodhe island

maybe cause no one have seen a truck dump
Anyone know who makes that alarm? I want it for a 4x4 travel alarm
It's a McNeillus body so they install the alarm but not sure if they make them or outsource them.
Was this in the forest grove transfer station?
It is.
The main problem here is that it’s not A bobcat !!!!
This ones better for this kind of place

of all the garbage.

Apparently that gets cleaned out later if its by the locks/sides, if its on the floor it'll just fall out with the next load of trash.
