I started watching ajahn brahm videos 3 years ago and they really changed my life. After a while I started feeling like I had watched most of his videos and they were starting to feel a bit repetitive.however I have started rewatching his videos and I now find that there is so much in those old videos I watched that I did not understand at that time. Its honestly like there are layers and layers of hidden knowledge in his dharama talks that only become apparent to you as you yourself achieve progress in your own path.
I agree! Sometimes I have a huge insight and I'm like "why didn't all those spiritual books I read explain this?" Then I look at them again and see they DID explain it! I just didn't have the capacity to absorb it.
This is the most intelligent talk I heard about meditation !finally I met a monk who understands the mind! I was meditating in Devon with Banthé. I discovered a lot with him but I also discovered that I don’t want to be so unfriendly with myself as I had to be in his meditations. With all the respect I feel for his teaching. Because in his personal moving I understood what was wrong in his teaching as well. But this is the first time I hear a monk talking like this thank you very much!
Ajahm Brahm recharges the spirit.
Thank you Ajahn Brahm, and thank you to the group who posted this. I was having a hard day, feeling quite sick, and AB's humour and insight has me feeling a great deal better. Thank you.
I had a deep meditation after listening to this talk. It wasn't a Jhana. But making peace with your self, accepting, forgiving and loving your self/mind does take off much of the suffering we carry within our hearts. Thank you for the video. :)
Like almost every one of his teachings, those who seek wisdom, freedom and ultimate peace, should listen to each talk at least 3 times. Sadhu sadhu sadhu
thanks ajam.Brahm! u pulled me out of my misery i have in my own prison for 3 months!! ^^ the result was instant happiness! hahaha!!! thanks a thousand!!!
I need to hear this again and again.
A true gem, he shows the potential we all have to become so much more than our petty thoughts. Blessings to ya bud.
This Man is outstanding!
How to treat the mind when it wanders off. (around 40 Minutes)
"Giving up" really comes up a lot in other books i've read as well. Being kind to whatever you become aware of is a brilliant teaching on accepting the present moment and to stop striving. Totally brilliant.
I can't even stop myself from saying to myself relaaaaaaaax to the maaaaaaaax when I feel upset. Thank you ajahn
dear ajarn brahn id like to take this moment to say thankyou one my good friends a srilanki introduced me to you 4 years ago and when im having a tough time I close my eyes and listen to your meditations I am not a religious man by any means nor even a buddist by any means but that doesent matter I do not do wrong by anybody and wish no harm againts and I do belive in peace and happyness and im on my way to find it I have been done wrong by in the past by a lot of people . and unfortunately a lot of people take me for me for face value and see my image and that is all they see "I cant help the way I look" but deep down that is not who I am .. I have 12y/o daughter and want nothing but the best for her I do have problems and can happily say they are slowly getting sorted but I cant help other peoples problems that are affecting my life at the same time I would just realy like to say I am glad that I met you and to say thankyou verymuch I honestly mean that from inside thankyou
Well done re. The council, taught them a lesson in inconvenience. X
There is something so powerful about being authentic and humble. Ajahn Brahm embodies this. I've learned so much from him over the years, I think he is amongst the most sacred of sangha on the planet right now. Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu.
The mango simile. When I first started listening to Ahahn Brahm in 2011, I had no expectations whatsoever. I had no idea what I was about to hear. Then just like he said, all these mangoes started to fall on my hands. To this day, mangoes continue to fall.
Ajahn Brahm is the best. Thank you so much for posting it.
Thanks for explaining the Dhamma Ajahn Brahm.
I started laughing so hard my face hurts. Amazing!
Best talk I have ever heard on meditation♥️
Thank You very Much, It was like the best thing happened for me this weekend 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
This is terrific! Exactly the sort of reminder I need. Thank you folks.
I never realised I am always a control freak (my mind) during meditation. That's why I rarely feel relax. Thank you, Ajahn Bhram.
Thank you ajahn brahm 🙏❤️ little while ago i was so mad... i was like wanted to break something so bad... this talk calmed me down... i was angry all day... but this really made me calm and peaceful.. thank you ajahn brahm ❤️
Thank You Ajahn Brahm.
Adjahn B is a genius....such a blessing in this horrid epoch of C19...so many golden nuggets...thx!!!
This is the most insightful thing I have ever heard about meditation. This is coming to me at the perfect time as I am a beginner practicing meditation : this talk has saved me a lot of silly mind fighting time I think haha! Bless the Hahayana : the only path I'm ever going to walk.
Namaste! Thanks very much for uploading.
Thank you very much for leading me to the answers I am looking for. Thank you so much for such pleasant moment of listening to your dharma talk.
Thank you for sharing this important message about letting go and being kind & gentle. ----This is one of the best talks I have heard!
Make peace---let go!
"The kindness is what allows you to stop..."
Marvelous teaching! Thanks ❤
Absolutely wonderful!
I am so grateful for your energy and wisdom and humor!
I truly enjoy your sense of humor as I learn while I listen from the northern tip of Peru
I’m back ... three years later. Mangoes are still falling on my hands! 😁
May all beings be happy, may the Buddhist rule prevail.
Thankyou for your insights, you gave honesty, fantasy and knowledge. I think that is all anyone can give. I look forward to hearing more of your insight.
I’ve had wonderful meditations because of what Ajahn Brahm talks about. Some are extremely difficult, and that’s because I haven’t learned how to COMPLETELY control my mind, but when me and him get along, when my conscious motives are in line with my internal motives, or when I allow my internal world to simply “go” until it stops on its own, I have meditations where I too, couldn’t be moved with a 1000 water buffaloes. :p :)
Peace, love, health, non-attachment, and true joy to all! ❤
wonderful!
Excellent. thank you for sharing this lively talk with us far away !

Make peace, be kind, be gentle... Awesome! Many Thanks, Ajahn Brahm and also whoever made this video available publicly 🙏🙏🙏
สาธุ Ajahn Brahm - Thanks so much for every words you share. I love you 🙏🙏🙏
I’ve noticed some people say this is repetitive and so on. It’s a style of teaching that is used in many cultures outside the west where rote learning has its benefits and is employed differently to what we would be used to now in schools. Notice how the teaching is done: four noble truths eight fold path and practice makes perfect
Thank you 🙏 😊
Thanks Ajahn Brahm. It help me so much. 🙏🙏🙏
fantastic word
loved this one Ajahn Brahm, I particulary loved the lesson about the ego, thank you thank you thank you
very well natural talk!!!
The best monk ever! :)
Thank you Ajahn Brahm
Thank you
10 thumbs down is just a mirrored version of 10 thumbs up. It doesn't matter.
Your comment is also a mirror, currently with 10 thumbs up votes! : )
Ajahan Braham is so easy to listen to. I really have the upmost desire to change my state, but I do realise in doing such I am going against the grain of his teaching and the essence of buddism. I do believe buddism is such a religion that the teaching can be used by anybody and everybody without the formalities to attain a peaceful life. I know I am just a mere non learnt individual, but I do believe Buddha never really had the desire for him to be worshipped as he said quite clearly that everybody has a buddha within. Please carry on with your uploading of your talks and would really like to catch up with you if you ever visit the UK.
amazing talk. thru and thru amazing talk

Don't be afraid of negative thoughts... be courageous... don't be weak...
meditation is like dating, be king be gentle, and let go if necesary
Good teaching about the donkey ! At Diamond Sangha in Honolulu we had a newsleaf called The Blind Donkey, much appreciated by members.
Brilliant.
To give up control of self is control within it self. It is the will of the self which one wants to relinquish. The question is to what, whom and where does one give up to. It must be of a Universal place to rest all that the will desires. It is of an energy, a force, a collective intelligence, consciousness, love, forgiveness and refuge for the intellects pain and suffering. It is a Higher Power. A power of all living things. It is what God is. What nature is. What the Universe is. And, even what science is. But of the mind, intellect, and will it is not. Thus one must ask and expect this Greatness to be your will. To be your intellect. To be your understanding. To be your force of all things.
“When someone seeks," said Siddhartha, "then it easily happens that his eyes see only the thing that he seeks, and he is able to find nothing, to take in nothing because he always thinks only about the thing he is seeking, because he has one goal, because he is obsessed with his goal. Seeking means: having a goal. But finding means: being free, being open, having no goal.”
― Herman Hesse, Siddhartha

May I translate this beautiful Dhamma Talk into Vietnamese?
interesting point at 18:37
Oba Wansata Maga Uthum Namskarayama Wawa🙏🙏🙏
Watching you now
Why I can't meditate, especially with guided meditation; Focus on your breathing. Deep breath in... and out. In... and out. Now do that X times.
What I'm thinking; I can't wait for this stressful breathing part to be over. I'm getting a little light headed.
+Xethavosh Maybe try just to do nothing when you meditate. Or doing metta meditation.
+Xethavosh if you are getting light headed it means you are hyperventilating, not breathing. If concentrating on breathing stresses you out, concentrate on your left toe instead.
jay ver
my mentioning on the left toe was a little sarcastic, lol but yeah thinking about something else would stop you from hyperventilating. The body breathes normally when you don't bother its rhythm by obsessing about it. I am not talking as a meditator but as a sea diver.
That's exactly what I used to do with my kids when they used to threaten to leave home lol
💐🙏🙏🙏💐
Hello great teacher. I have alot things to say for you about the priritul for much mystery but I can't say at all.
“You” stop is the effort is the only will. It is the intellect, not collective consciousness and the will of the Universe or God
Subtitles would be very helpful
If I ever got married, find someone silly enough. want ajahn brahm to bless us. X
How i love you
confess your faults to one another
I like the Buddhist seals. Isn't adhittana one of the ten paramis?
Absolutely brilliant! I found content with a similar theme, and it was absolutely mesmerizing. "Kindness Unveiled: A Journey to a Happier Life" by Noah Evergreen
Did Chogyam Trungpa Write "Meditation in Action"?
Is this unwholesome unwanted thought create bad karma?
What a wonderful world we are living in. We can have access to the true dhamma, not all that book talks, but a real Dhamma that comes from direct knowledge, just by pressing a button on our cellphones. I am so grateful.
Im
Totally agree. Unreal how few views these blessings get in comparison to many things, but I have hope that will change soon 🙏🙏🙏
We are so very blessed and all Ajahns are in my Metta prayers daily 🙏🏼
Gently posing you finger on the button…
