I will miss KAT. He is a good guy and tremendous talent. I wonder if we aren't marginally better now in MN. While I think KAT is the better player than Randle overall, I think Randle could be on the floor more and be more of an impact because he won't commit as many silly fouls. Further, DiVincenzo is going to be a fantastic add....great shooting and toughness.
I know this trade saved Minnesota 26mill plus randles expiring contract, but it doesn't feel right. You only get certain windows in the NBA to really go for it, especially a Minnesota team. Having a culture / chemistry that also spreads over to the fans results in more success and therefore more revenue. Id like to have seen them run it back for one more year. Its going to be interesting to see where these new salary cap rules take the NBA, its not going to be worth signing players to max deals, and that hurts small market teams, which is the opposite of what the salary cap is meant to protect. Guess it is the NBA, entertainment money over competitive basketball.
