I can live with the some of the reported issues that I have with the TV let alone it having all the features I wanted in a single TV and having a fantastic picture quality. I hope that the judder issue (which can be addressed with certain settings at the cost of smoother motion) will be solved in future firmware. The thing that I disliked the most is the vertical bending, but in 95% of the usage it's non-issue and based on other users, you might get it without it. Overall, a keeper for both gaming and movie watching and everything in betwee.
I am not really sure what the vertical banding is about. Are you talking about horizontal gamma shift? Meaning the center of the display is darker than the sides? And when you move yourself sideways the dark center moves with you? That is a VA thing, related to VA panels poor viewing angles horizontally. The only solution to that is to sit further away from the screen. Curved panels used to be a thing with VA monitors at one point and they greatly reduced that gamma shift effect when you sit closer. Unfortunately they have fallen out of favor because of nay-sayers. I use my 50" C805 as a computer monitor. Previously I used curved 49" Samsung KS8500 TV as a monitor and even though this TCL is better in every way (mini leds, 120hz-144hz, fantastic HDR performance) the lack of curve saddens me, the VA horizontal gamma shift is so much more noticeable now.
I have this tv and i notice Horizontal banding on my tv , but is evident only in determinate images , is a great tv for the price and black is oled style , but in last update v.098 , i dont know local dimming in high is more dim in dark scenes in medium is ok , post your setting for ps5 !
Should i put my PS5 pro hdmi in tv hdmi 1 for 4K 144 hz or in hdmi 2 with 4K 120 hz? Would it make a difference in quality? Since ps5 pro is made for 120 hz..
Hello, i have the ps5 connected to the tcl c805. does your sharpness control work when a game is running at 4k 60hz as mine only works at 4k 120hz and its confusing . thanks
I've got this exact tv. 50". Just setting up looking for videos for optimal settings (still haven't taken the protective screen cover off yet). I don't see any banding on my screen. I'm planning on using it for my sim rig. Hopefully it's good
Hi. Is the banding issue pretty obvious when watching Netflix or UA-cam HDR content? I was planning to buy it purely for entertainment and not gaming purposes. Would that VA panel be a dealbreaker then?
Planning to update my 55C645 QLED to this 55C755 mini-LED. Lets see but I have tried to find an answer a lot that I am still not able to... I just want to know that does the TCL Game Master not work with the computer? because it doesn't and I have 2 QLEDs from tcl one C635 and now using C645. Both models dont activate the game master feature and I cant change that too as it's always off with my gaming system with the RTX 3060Ti and have tried multiple TRUE HDMI 2.1 cables (not those fake ones)... Does anyone know anything about it please?
Where I live (Norway) is it called MQLED80 or is this another model? Could you help me with this model doubt? I'm about to buy the 75" since my sofa is approximately 3 meters from the screen.
base on the specs it looks similar to mine, same goes to the back of the display and the image of the screen is the same. This is just based on initial look.
It's the same. Elgiganten & Computer Salg has that name on the C805. I'm ordering today from Elon. Iv'e been researching this tv for a month now to finaly figure out that MQled80/C805 is the same.
If anyone knows and has the same TV model as me TCL QLED C805, can you connect a Blu-Ray reader and can you connect another brand of camera with HD resolution let's say these for PC cameras, because I can't find exactly that TV camera for my TV model anywhere if you can connect a Blu-Ray reader to USB, I'm also interested in whether there is a USB C with input and output like on mobile phones and PS5, and if you can connect a Blu-Ray reader, does it also go through a USB splitter, because that TV model has only one USB 3.0 port, if I'm not mistaken, and I have a splitter with 3.0 four inputs and one USB I would really like to put a reader and a camera, but as I said, I can't find a camera for that TV model anywhere.
Yes the greatest part of this tv is the speaker. It is really nice. The only issue is their processing algorithm for fast moving frames and upscaling. It is clearly visible while playing videos online even with 4k hdr I can see blury effect between fast moving frames. Iam Currently downloading Dolby vision movies will check how it plays offline content. They should immediately need to give the patch release to fix this. In my region they marketing this tv as new arrival.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Because I'm playing in a relatively small area, and probably because of the acoustics in that area, the sound just feels the entire room. I was so shocked when it happens in some movies. Didn't expect the speaker to produce something like that, was totally impressed.
Replacing with the same model. Stayed with it as overall it has all the features I want and the vertical banding issue (some say they don't have it at all) in most cases is not noticeable, let alone to warrant another "adventure".
@@valentinionita4449 No, the technician installed the latest software when he visited and installed the replacement (same model) and it still was the same.
The C745 has no Mini LED and it has 120 dimming zones compared to the C805/C755 that has Mini LED and 3x the amount of dimming zones compared to the C745. Yes it's worth it.
It's a no for Hisense. VIDAA OS is the worst, you can't install an MX player or any other player on it since it's not an android TV. You will be stuck with the default player which by the way cannot play MP4 and MKV files.
