a year later and i can officially say this has become one of my favorite songs of all time, all genres combined.
Black Eyed Pilseung never disappoint! These girls are their project. It's their company. It's so wholesome, in the behind the scenes the vlog refers to them as BEP's daughters. They seem well taken care of. APink's last 3 comebacks are BEP production. Twice's Likey, TT, Cheer Up, Fancy are BEP. Chungha's Rollercoaster and Gotta Go is BEP. Hyolyn's See Sea is BEP. Refund Sisters' Don't Touch Me is BEP. These guys literally just product BOPS
The fact that they blindsided me the day they debuted after work. I didn't even know they were a thing and their video was recommended to me. I legit watch the video like 20 times, got all my screenshots for backgrounds on my computer, went to their Channel and watched everything I could, and played both their songs on repeat at work the next day.

Not sure if you knew, but the entertainment company these girls are under, High-Up Entertainment, was started by Black Eyed Pilseung (BEP; a producer duo). BEP is responsible for many hit songs like Sistar's "Touch My Body"; Miss A's "Only You"; Twice's "Like Ooh-Ahh", "Cheer Up", "TT", "Likey", and "Fancy"; and Apink's "I'm So Sick", "Eung Eung", and "Dumhdurum." So it was funny to hear Dumhdurum in the background when you were talking in the intro.
I found out afterwards but that is insane. They have the backbone to put out good music comeback after comeback. Looking forward to it

That said, absolutely loved this debut as well, the chorus is amazing, very solid vocally, really brings back the OG feels where the chorus is vocally dominant instead of repetitive hooks in the newer gen groups (sorry, I don't like the repetitive hooks in the newer gen that's why >_

I'm so cynical about debuts lmao though I check them out half the time and this song is just too damn good, I've got their two songs on heavy repeat, I like their vibe a lot too! I'm a heaux for retro as well so that may also have a lot to do with it.
Their debut used drum n bass wich is quite unique for kpop. I think it works out very well with this concept

"Soo-Min"; "Shee-eun"; "Ice-ah"; "Say-eun"; "Yoon"; "Jay." To your credit you were very good with your first attempt at the 2euns, showing you ain't new to the Korean name game. Slightly off topic, but Everglow "Shee-hyun" is another one that many people butcher. Even my spelling of "shee" is wrong. Make the sound but with your teeth closed and a joker smile and it sounds more like it should.
