Maybe it's because he realizes that he doesn't get too much attention. Or Thomas just needed to make Logan's role more of what Logan says like "I don't have emotions" n so he fulfills that If that makes sense
Meh is Noob janus, in reply to one of logan’s comments, was like “sure you dont” to when logan said he was emotionless. he does have emotions, but represses them super hard to seem or get some sliver of respect from the others and it seems like it’s constantly failing him time and time again. (times where logan had a lot of emotion: season one, crofters, the puppet episode when he wacked roman in the eye with that paper ball, his extreme disappointment and discomfort in both svs and svsr after being casted to the side numerous times)
I love how Roman comes in the same way every time! Some things never change. And I love Virgeys sound effect too! And, how Patton always comes in exited and ready to be a part of the convo!
I really love the body language with the sides, they're all so distinct! It's really cool to see their personalities based solely on how they pop up. Logan almost always pops up with his arms crossed, with the few exceptions in season one, where he would sometimes pop up with his hands on his hips. Roman ALWAYS pops up with his prince pose™ except for the one(1) time in SvS where he popped up with the noise makers at 2:45. Patton is actually kinda random. He usually pops up with his hands on his hips, but sometimes he came up with his hands in the air, or with one arm forward like he's frolicking in a flower field in a Disney film. (he's so cute) Virgil... I don't really know? In some shots of season one, it looks like his arms are crossed, but his arms are kinda hidden from the camera, so I can only assume he appears with his hands to his side, or in his pockets. Janus, when he's not impersonating someone, fades into existence. He doesn't rise up like the Lights, and he doesn't just appear like Virgil, and I find that interesting. Like Patton, he's kinda random. Usually he fades in with his hands together (you know.. the villain hands....) Remus, in my opinion, is the coolest one to note. He pops up behind furniture. Doesn't sound that interesting, right? But here's the thing, (hear me out) Intrusive thoughts happen in the back of your head. They're kind of subconscious thoughts. I think that the popping up behind furniture is a reference to this, but I may well just be over-analyzing things. Sadly, he's only been in two episodes, but I think I might be on to something here! sorry for the lecture, but i just think its really fun to see the thought that was put into this show!
Janus does pop up though. when he's impersonating Patton, he pops up. which startles Thomas as he replies with "sorry Patton, I didn't see you rise up there"
That's technically not when Janus showed up. He showed up much earlier. Like after Logan was pulled. If you look closely you'll see that his glasses are broken when he starts to point fingers on Patton and talks about leisure time. He also smirks wjen Roman asks Pat what he meant. Adding to that, his voice changes a tad bit and he doesn't stay in tte frame. He sticks his arms out to prove his point unlike Logan from before
I think my dumbass brain just processed that Logan's theme IS Logan's theme. Also Logan in SvS was so startled bc he literally pulled a Janus/Virgil and popped up and it wasn't anticipated and I love noticing this stuff in hindsight.

BLESS YOU. I love this so much. I still adore how all the Sides have their own rising sound. And poor Janus-he may be a master of disguise, but he always rises so awkwardly. XD
It's because as a "dark side" he doesn't rise up, he pops in. When he was trying to pretend to be Logan, when he's wearing the wrong tie, he was trying to seem as if he was rising up, that's why it looks awkward. When he was Patton, Thomas got shocked - "whoa, papa's in the house!" - because he didn't see him rise up, he was just there.
I don't know why but virgil's voice is calming to me plus deceits at times so I started going to sleep plus virgil's voice helps calm me down when my anxiety kicks up

Virgil progressed from entering with grunts to entering with at least 3 words or more. Janus is.... still disguising himself. Remus!
Not how only Virgil and deceit have clear themes - they are both dark sides, and both are misunderstood, as they want to help Thomas but didn’t always help him in the right way

This’ll be a long one since I just want to get things out there and I’m avoiding tumblr since that app triggers me. Anyway, it’s interesting how progressively- Thomas begins to mould these characters. In response to some of the comments- I wouldn’t say Logan is more unhappy, just more serious. Because he plays the role as the “teacher character” from Thomas’ vines who is way more upbeat in contrast to Logan who is in charge of ensuring Thomas’ life is in order (hence he needs that strict factor) The evolution here is that Thomas and the team saw the potential in these characters and decide to flesh them out more based on the role they play as Thomas’ sides instead of how they were portrayed in the first four episodes. Virgil is still snappy but he lost that snark that Thomas gave him because he’s now been morphed into the embodiment of Anxiety. Sure, his insults and little bursts of threats (which he does not apologise for) are still angry as ever, he doesn’t mean them, he does it because he’s anxious (which is a point that I think Thomas and the team try hard to portray in his harsh dialogue) Roman is- well he’s Roman I mean Thomas got him right the first time, absolutely adore the Prince, I suppose he’s more self aware about his emotions now instead of the narcissist a lot of people pegged him to be. He’s more complicated and I love how they’ve redeemed his character for me since 2016. Patton isn’t dopey and unaware anymore, sure he cracks jokes now and then- but it makes sense for him to also assume the strict role like Logan because he ensures Thomas’ livelihood- like a guardian angel of some sort and is parallel to Logan that way, just morally. Just like Virgil, the things he says or does- he doesn’t have any malicious intent, he can’t help himself when under duress since the two of them are very much in tune with Thomas’ feelings. If his feelings are in disarray, then the both of them are in disarray. That’s why Logan didn’t look offended or hurt by their attitude in DWIT, he doesn’t take these jibes seriously because he’s fully aware of why they came to be. The final episode however is hard not to take offence to, it’s one thing to say it to him (there’s no restraint there) it’s another to actively pull him out of the conversation as if he’s not a variable. The fact that Janus was standing in his spot, solving Thomas’ dilemma (instead of Logan who normally solves it) seemed like the final nail in the coffin for him. So this happy to unhappy progression could be because this serious attitude brought justice to what the embodiment of Logic truly is or it’s going to play as a narrative (I kinda doubt the latter but y’all do your Logan angst if you want. The guy is really resilient, he’ll most likely play from the lowdowns instead of just showing up and this’ll prove to be detrimental for Thomas. I don’t think Thomas will use the same narrative device as Virgil did because his entire existence is like; fight or flight. It plays into his character.) Janus and Remus- there’s not much to say about them since they’re relatively new. I am very excited to see how Virgil is going to reconcile with them because clearly something bad happened between him and Janus (involving lies, as it’s heavily insinuated in Virgil’s dialogue against him. There’s no bias about the dark sides, since he calls him ‘the others’ himself, hence no hypocrisy. It’s definitely a personal thing.) because as far as the Spotify Playlist goes, those two are basically having a full blown conversation with each other through their playlists. Also about Virgil, I don’t think he’s fine or he’s vibing somewhere (despite the hilarity that those comments provoke within me) it’s proven that he’s an extension of Thomas’ bad feelings and will most definitely show up if the need arises. There’s no way he didn’t feel the turmoil even if he was doing something. I think that Virgil’s having the ultimate breakdown of the century in his room or he’s been suppressed. There’s no way the team wouldn’t let him in if given the chance, even in the final card unless it was for something to propel the plot (it’s a good thing he wasn’t there too, or we might’ve gotten two heartbroken sides instead of just Roman). Remus, Virgil and the orange side were communicating from beyond the video, so it definitely plays into his eventual reveal (which I am just dying to see) Whelp, those are the contents of my heart. Time to return to my hibernation chamber.
As a Logan stan, it breaks my heart when Logan starts to lose his sparkles... And off-topic.. THE SIDES KEEP IGNORING LOGAN!! YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO LOGAN SOMETIMES GUYS!! COME ON!!

COME ON!!
I feel like the beginning of Virgil’s theme, the bang thingy, changes in volume depending on how anxious he is.
I remember being really excited when Virgil's music would play. Now it's Deceits music that makes me happy
"Hi just frustrated, I'm sad! Uh I mean-" I just wanted to point this line out since I hadn't seen anyone else do so. Patton..
Love how the “what are you doing in my room?!” One turned into a perfectly cut scream
My favorite it definitely the very end when Remus is just naked behind the couch
This is amazing
It’s just like Logan lost his happiness through out the videos and now I feel so sad-
I NEVER NOTICED THAT ROMAN ROSE THE SAME EVERY SINGLE TIME!
I love that every dark sides have their own music when they show up
Roman's character evolution is basically him getting more insecure and his self-esteem plummeting to the very depths of hell as the series continues
for logan and virgil's, i was just focusing on the railings... man, the angles
You can see how their character became more and more distinguish from each other, like how cheerful logan used to be and now he more serious and tbh it suits him
I noticed that Logan’s voice kinda lost its enthusiasm as he evolved😣😢
