I think anyone that can create a crochet pattern can be an architectural engineer! I added a thin piece of cardboard inside before I stitched pieces together. Thanks Crystal!

Crystal, if you don't want to mess with stiffener since it is already fairly stiff maybe put a pipe cleaner of similar color between them before stitching them together? I use the heck out of pipe cleaners for things like this because I kinda hate to do stiffener unless it's like thread crochet snowflakes or something really floppy. Just an idea that popped into my head.

I was thinking, if we could stiffen it by either adding a piece of cardboard or lightly stuff it?
Or maybe a piece of plastic cut from like a milk carton or a take out lid.
