I bet many Singaporeans watch toooo much American Police show that they think SPF follows similar protocol. For example, If anyone remember the Cheers incident. That ex-employee definitely followed too much American police show and think he got amendment rights. SPF can ask for your ID anytime like how transcom ask for ID at MRT sttn or NPC officers ask for anyone ID at neigbourhood. American have their "No crime right? Dont ask for my ID or I sue you" SPF purpose is to detect/prevent crime. American is let there be crime first before I maybe help you identify myself. SPF if you discharge firearm just 1 bullet. Good luck to you ah. American unload your whole clip and reload and unload that whole clip maybe get desk duty 5 days. So please remember we are in Singapore. Not follow American police and their Amendment rights... No such thing in Singapore. OH YEAH. If you borrrow from AH LONG. reporting to police doesnt help you clear your debt, so pay what you borrowed.. That is why they emphasize so much on dont borrow from Ah Long. You think police got time to stand outside your house 24hours?
Even if your first line is correct, you are also stereotyping what occurs in America. Maybe you indeed watch too much of those fictional dramas too. ;)
I'm not stereotyping. Why bother watching fictional show. UA-cam has all the real incident/case study/lawyer purview/Idiotic moments/police brutality/police easy lawsuit that happens in USA. Why bother watching fictional shows when you can watch the real deal. Maybe you are the one watching too much fictional shows since you mentioned it after reading my comment since you think what I said abt USA only happens in fictional shows.
@@WORRIEDANGRYDAD "UA-cam has all the real incident/case study/lawyer purview/Idiotic moments/police brutality/police easy lawsuit that happens in USA." And so? Are they representative of reality all across the USA? Can show me how all these youtube videos supports your claim that "American is let there be crime first before I maybe help you identify myself. ", and supposed not for "detect/prevent crime", as if the two are mutually exclusive? You tried to make a clear distinction between what the American and Singaporean police can do when it comes to checking a person's ID, when in reality, it depends on local state laws, which can have "stop and identify" statutes requiring ID to be produced on demand. Hence are you not stereotyping when you conveniently assume the laws and procecures are the same all across the US?
I don't like that SPF videos are really really scripted and sanitized. Being involved in media myself in SPF, there's so many layers of vetting that it really disrupts the creative process. Also, with all of the attention on the official SPF socials, the officers themselves aren't even allowed to be proud of their professions and post pictures of themselves in uniform on their private socials. How double standard is that?
lets gooo finally post video !!!!
