From a French supporter, the only reason we managed to draw with Italy is because the ball fell off Garbisi’s tee. If he’d been able to take his time, he NEVER would have missed that kick, not from there. The Azzurri really have stunned European rugby this year and I couldn’t be more stoked for them. The fact italy were actually really close to winning this whole thing is incredible. A couple tight games that went in their favour and we could've been talking about one of the most amazing stories ever.
Genuinely, if they'd got their deserved win against France and the England game had gone the other way it could've been a very different 6N. Frankly I think it just shows how close all of the 6N are right now. Ireland is still the best but they're not the unbeatable juggernauts some thought. Wales also, despite having a bad tournament really have had moments where they shined.

As a proud Welshman and in the stadium, that scoreline flattered us massively, we were completely outplayed and looked clueless large portions of the game. Well done to Italy , to think if the officials had done their job properly and let garbisi have another kick at goal against France this could be their third win of the championship, great to see. I’m going to as well repeat my comments from last week this young Italian side never ceases to amaze me it is absolutely amazing what these young lads can do looks like Italian rugby is a force to be reckoned with now it’s been a long time coming congratulations on your big win
This is not surprisingly to be honest though. It's the first generation (2000+) that has been groomed in the Celtic League/ FIR academy pipeline. These players have only known elite level rugby throughout their career. Beforehand they'd first go through the Italian league, which is nowhere close to that level. What is most amazing is the roster depth italy now has. For many years Italy was able to do well in the first half but would collapse once the backups came in. Today Italy didn't have Capuozzo, and Pani, the backup, was among the best players on the field.

We're finally starting to see all the investments made at grassroots level in Italy pay off and as you say Italy now has depth which they lacked before. If one good player is out due to injury there are other good players to replace him.

Watching the Italian game progress over the last few years has been a joy to watch. If they continue to evolve as they are doing, I could envisage an Italian squad dominating the Six Nations. Amazing defence by Italy, especially in the first half
As a proud Welshman and in the stadium, that scoreline flattered us massively, we were completely outplayed and looked clueless large portions of the game. Well done to Italy , to think if the officials had done their job properly and let garbisi have another kick at goal against France this could be their third win of the championship, great to see.
We have a lot of rebuilding to do particularly at 10 🏉

I’m going to as well repeat my comments from last week this young Italian side never ceases to amaze me it is absolutely amazing what these young lads can do looks like Italian rugby is a force to be reckoned with now it’s been a long time coming congratulations on your big win
This is not surprisingly to be honest though. It's the first generation (2000+) that has been groomed in the Celtic League/ FIR academy pipeline. These players have only known elite level rugby throughout their career. Beforehand they'd first go through the Italian league, which is nowhere close to that level. What is most amazing is the roster depth italy now has. For many years Italy was able to do well in the first half but would collapse once the backups came in. Today Italy didn't have Capuozzo, and Pani, the backup, was among the best players on the field.
@@bimbogiallo definitely and what’s more amazing is that most of these guys are under 25 The players and the fans must be so happy that they won’t get the wooden spoon They’ve had that for the last 10 years or so like I said last week over the next few years do not underestimate the squad they will shock a few teams that’s for sure
We're finally starting to see all the investments made at grassroots level in Italy pay off and as you say Italy now has depth which they lacked before. If one good player is out due to injury there are other good players to replace him.

Watching the Italian game progress over the last few years has been a joy to watch. If they continue to evolve as they are doing, I could envisage an Italian squad dominating the Six Nations. Their technical ability is outstanding but their passion, hunger and desire to win is so exciting to watch. Total respect Italy……keep making me say….WOW!

@@teiloturner2760 Even the men did an awful job mostly overruling the field refree...a thing absolutely to not allow. Other times not noticing real evident faults (and that should be the wirk of a TMO, not forcing the refree to take a decision that refree didn't think necessary).
