StevenKeogh824 your a 2000 kid then , I was born in the 80’s so my childhood is the 90’s it’s the best parts of being a kid when you get to around 10-16
Loved this early 90s show. It was colourful, fun, innocent and reminds me of my childhood. Dale was a great host and really miss him. Rylan now is doing a great job and perfect for the role. His voice and way he presents is a lovely tribute to Dale.
I was just a kid when this was on but I remember thinking he was such a fun grown up and I wanted him to be my dad lol. RIP Mr Winton. You were an absolute joy and pleasure to watch
Growing up always saw Dale, as a energetic, healthy, glowing person. Made it even more shocking and sad hearing of his, way too early passing. R.I.P Dale.
Half term holidays at school as well! They should bring this back! Dale Winton would wipe the floor with that Jeremy Kyle and the sort of characters the show attracts!
I was two years old an I remember this was my favourite show ever. My mum said she used to hide items around the house and give me a carrier bag so I could run around and put the items in the bag and pretend I was on supermarket sweep haha
This came on at 10 am in the morning in Ireland so if I was watching it it always symbolized not being in school, either cause I was sick, pretending to be sick or just bunking off!
I'm here because I used to watch this with my grandma when I was a child she always had it on I'm here because she's recently passed away love you nan I know your watching over me 🙏❤️
Ever since I was a newborn I would watch this. whenever I rewatch this and see people running off without the trolley, I always think "they should take the trolley"
@@thejokerchannel3384 There’s something about Rylan that creeps me out. Might be the shark teeth. I just sense no warmth from him like I did with Dale.
@@Charizarzar I prefer Rylan doing this than if Jim Davidson did this, I mean good lord can you imagine anything more awful than having Jim Davidson present this?
Steve Allen on LBC was talking about this first series today. Dale was very straight on this. At the end of the first series he said he wanted to bring more to it and be himself more and make it more fun so interesting to see this more mellow version of Dale here.
I loved this show, when I was in England on language courses, together with The Big Breakfast and Blind Date and the soaps n sitcoms. It helped me with my English/ the Swede
Whost that girl I fully agree with your statement. I was a kid in the 60s, but Dale Winton definitely reminded me always of those good old days. He for me is the best tv personality ever. Both in supermarket sweep and in in it to win it. It was devastating news to me when he passed away at such a young age in 2018. I often watch the reruns and for me he was a wonderful showman and made u feel at home. Rest in peace Dale.
REST IN PEACE. A true great of British Television - his influence will be felt by generations to come. A real life inspiration, not like these overpaid football "stars"! Upvote if you agree.
Being American myself, I can see what a big difference the Trade Descriptions Act makes. In the US, the show was about brand names, in the UK, they could only use the products themselves.
R.I.P Dale Winton you one more favourite presenter been huge fan of you and my thoughts are with your family and friends at this tine , you are much loved and loved your TV shows always entertaining xx
Me and my sister always used to watch supermarket sweep. We loved it. So sad about Dale :( Watching this reminded me of how much I loved it when I was little!! I was barely alive when it was on. (Born 1999 lol)
Used to always think this was filmed in a real supermarket lol. When infact it is a studio set and a lot of the meat produce, and some other food is fake
Ricky Evans No different from the US version of the series, though when it first aired in the 60's, they did use an actual supermarket to tape the program at.
It was kitted out by Asda 1993-1994, Somerfield 1995-1997 then Co-op till the series finished in 2001. The music is so cheesy on this. Sounds like it was made on cheap plastic keyboards when they was all the rage back then.
Must admit I wasn't a fan of this but was worth waking up to for a laugh and brings back memories of my 1st year at college. Rather this than Jeremy Kyle crap
I realised I had nothing to worry about. The man was a perfect gentleman. But if you told me 25 years ago that I would be talking about rigid inflatable hulls with Dale Winton I would probably have spat at you.
there are even full episodes of newer gameshows on UA-cam like "Millionaire", Weakest Link and Pointless. The TV companies don't care for the most part, just don't upload Jeremy Clarkson Millionaire and you're fine.
I miss the 90's so much, being a 90's kid was the best!
26whosthatgirl Lol yep and most of us miss the 90s.
It truly was, miss it a lot. :-)
Until you realise most of the presenters were nonces a pedos
The 90s where shite and I was born at the beginning of that decade.
Feels like nothing happened like everything was just in limbo for a decade.
StevenKeogh824 your a 2000 kid then , I was born in the 80’s so my childhood is the 90’s it’s the best parts of being a kid when you get to around 10-16
RIP Dale. Used to love coming home from nursery (or off school "sick" when older) and watching this.
That is exactly when I got to watch it when I wanted a day off from school mid week and cuddled up with mum, a bowl of tomato soup and Dale
Loved this early 90s show. It was colourful, fun, innocent and reminds me of my childhood. Dale was a great host and really miss him. Rylan now is doing a great job and perfect for the role. His voice and way he presents is a lovely tribute to Dale.
Rylan was probably chosen so nobody could say it was homophobia.
I was just a kid when this was on but I remember thinking he was such a fun grown up and I wanted him to be my dad lol. RIP Mr Winton. You were an absolute joy and pleasure to watch
I really liked Dale. He brought such warmth and joy. RIP Dale. We still miss you.
Growing up always saw Dale, as a energetic, healthy, glowing person. Made it even more shocking and sad hearing of his, way too early passing. R.I.P Dale.
Rest In peace Dale

Omg me too.... if was pulling a sickle this would be on at ten so knew you were officially off for the day when this started 😀

I remember this so vividly!!! Your so smart Dale, RIP Sir.
RIP. I remember this show as a kid.
Ever since I was a newborn I would watch this. whenever I rewatch this and see people running off without the trolley, I always think "they should take the trolley"
As soon as I heard that theme tune I was transported back to the 90’s
😢
Sorry Rylan, but nothing will beat the original
RIP Dale Winton
Rylan is better
It most certainly won’t because Dale was the master.
@@Dblue862 Dale was the best, Gay yes, but not as camp as that Rylan with he dyed hair and whiten teeth - FALSE

R.I.P Dale. I remember watching this regularly back in 1993, those were the days.
Monday Morning 09:25 - Ok, I think its safe to say my so called upset stomach and temperature excuse has worked.
Ha ha exactly my thoughts back in the day .... 😀
RIP Dale and Bobby. Thank you both for this great show.
I loved this show, when I was in England on language courses, together with The Big Breakfast and Blind Date and the soaps n sitcoms. It helped me with my English/ the Swede

AWShanna You're not the only one... Trust me.
Me too
Same lol

I miss the 90s so much it hurts 😢
I'm from the U.S. and enjoy watching both the U.S. and U.K. versions of Supermarket Sweep, also Wheel of Fortune.
Being American myself, I can see what a big difference the Trade Descriptions Act makes. In the US, the show was about brand names, in the UK, they could only use the products themselves.

Dale Winton, the best meme that never became a meme.
RIP
Me and my sister always used to watch supermarket sweep. We loved it. So sad about Dale :( Watching this reminded me of how much I loved it when I was little!! I was barely alive when it was on. (Born 1999 lol)
Supermarket sweep, gladiators, Baywatch, Saturday morning cartoons, power rangers haha. Good times the 90s
Used to always think this was filmed in a real supermarket lol. When infact it is a studio set and a lot of the meat produce, and some other food is fake
I think it's actually set in a closed down supermarket
Ricky Evans No different from the US version of the series, though when it first aired in the 60's, they did use an actual supermarket to tape the program at.
Family Fortunes, Bullseye, Catchphrase was also filmed there. Its now been converted to a campus.

RIP Dale Winton (1955-2018) :(
R.I.P Dale. 62 years young. such a gentle soul
I don't think I've ever seen a more positive comment section than the one here for The Lovely Dale. Full of love, fair play to all ❤
The host of Supermarket Sweep in my country (The United States) was David Ruprecht & the announcer was Johnny Gilbert later Randy West.
Pure television gold!
My late Granny used to love this, always had it on when i finished primary school. This brings back great memories of childhood
RIP
Philip J Fry too young ;(
No age these days
Nice guys always go early. RIP.
I think dale winton was a bit gay
RiP in the supermarket sky
This is sooo different from the American version. Everyone from the contestants, host, crowd even the theme music is so subdued. 😀
We use to watch supermarket sweep year's n year's ago me,my mom and my auntie dot still talk about this show i wish it was still coming on t v
R.I.P dale winton
I always think of Dale Winton when i go shopping rest in peace Dale. 😪😪

I realised I had nothing to worry about. The man was a perfect gentleman. But if you told me 25 years ago that I would be talking about rigid inflatable hulls with Dale Winton I would probably have spat at you.
I was 4 when this first came out. I watched it everyday I was off sick or school holidays.
Super market sweep made the 90's look like the 80's jesus.
Jay Jay You obviously didn't look around in the eighties!
Jan Gray, the 80's were awesome, for me personally the 90's sucked.
Andrew Dexter Uh yuh dexter
That's how you know you're getting old Jay Jay. 90's TV looks like the 70's these days :-( Blame HD.
I love watching UK game shows, plus shopping hauls from UK stores. Its a dream of mine to shop at Asda and,or Tesco❤
Steve Lillis brought me here. I can't believe people have uploaded entire episodes of this. Brings back memories of being off school.
there are even full episodes of newer gameshows on UA-cam like "Millionaire", Weakest Link and Pointless. The TV companies don't care for the most part, just don't upload Jeremy Clarkson Millionaire and you're fine.
That's better than anything they can come up with these days, big up the '90s
Ahem. The Chase?
right!
This was a nice program. Much better than the hate filled degeneracy that passes as entertainment these days.
HE SAID BREADCUMS!!!!!!!!
13:25
well he was gay!
A shop like Supermarket Sweep should be built in honour of Dale Winton
Rip so many memories watching this as a young lad bunking off school
Helen and Val's glasses, lol
Those two were cuties!
R.I.P Dale Winton
Gone but not forgotten.
I'm 16 but I remember watching this when I was young 😂
My condolences to Dale Wintons family and friends. A very nice guy.
This is a lot better than Rylan’s
Rylan tries too hard where Dale was a natural.
lol me and my sister were on this show HA HA HA, loved it, it was so funny :-)
MRSBABYCAKES22 please post the episode
Brought here by Stampy and Sqaishey😂 I used to love this show
The intro music 😢 takes me back 🙌🏽
First time watching the UK version and I gotta say the American contestants really sell it more.
Expect them to hate on you because they have a hard on to hate us and love to be anti American. Despite this show being American.
I remember watching this with my mommy when I was like 4 good memories
Loving Dale's orange jacket and matching tan :)
I used to watch this all the time I love the Rise West glasses those women are wearing 🤣
Its really like I'm five years old, off school with sickness once again ;_;
Can't believe he's passed away. RIP Dale. He'll be missed.
When I was off school sick which was rear I would watch this
