    The one liner after the camera gets knocked over. Pure gold. :)

    Letting the saw set it's our pace is exactly how to get through that big wood. I hate to see folks push their saws too hard. In the end they end up getting less wood and burning up a piston. Same thing with using your wedge when your saw was binding. Most folks use too much muscle and not enough brain., you do it the right way. Another good video.

    Windy today in Old Town, but this AM cut down 8 pines around 18'' Dia., going to mill them for a new fence, that was a big old live oak, I love it for fire wood, not for lumber, great Vid.

      @TKCL  4 роки тому

      Yes it's been very windy the last several days. What kind of mill do you have? I would live to have one if I had more woods with quality timber.

    Great video showing the capabilities of the ms260 with a good sharp chain. I have a 16" bar on mine and a muffler mod. It really shifts some wood!

      This saw has done nothing but impress me over the years. I really want a ms462, but at the price point and capability of the 260/261, I'll most likely replace my saw with that if I ever break it.

      I've had a Stihl fs90 weed eater for years and it's been a work horse. Great products!

    We've got 2 Stihl MS 271 Farm Boss and a MS 170 (when we have to cut branches and not trees, though it does trees well and we needed a lighter saw). Love Stihl products. We still split by hand, though your video on the Countyline 25-Ton is impressive and saving for one.

      Great saws and I definitely recommend that log splitter to you. It's a time and back saver for sure.

    I got a ms 310, 20 inch bar which is the ms 311 now i paid like 400 for it, I have had it since 2008 I think,and used last weekend, starts on the 3rd pull and only thing i had to fix was a bolt on the side on the handle that I had to replace a bar tightening lug that got stripped, but original carburetor and not work done to the crab, but as far a delimbing like you were doing i wouldn't go any bigger, my next saw with be a saw stihl battery operated saw for smaller delimbing, and around the house great video

      They make great products that seem to last if taken care of. One of those you get what you pay for situations. I was really interested in their battery operated saws too, until I priced the battery. 😨Yikes those things are expensive. My little ms170 is the perfect companion to ride in my ranger or truck for limbing.

      The Kelley's Country Life well I've already got two batteries from a battery operated weed eater which I love to death.I can trim my yard twice without recharging so when I buy the chainsaw it will come with one battery and a charger so I'll have three batteries then I'll rig something up to recharge the batteries on the tractor. but there are some interesting videos out on the battery operated chainsaw and what it will cut

      @@plow9133 no doubt, I've watched a lot of the battery operated videos on UA-cam. It's amazing how far battery operated equipment has come , I do love how quiet it is.

      The Kelley's Country Life but you can buy a good trim gad saw for $200 but I love that big 3/8 chain on that 310, wish the smaller saw could handle the 3/8 chain have a great weekend and look forward to the next video

    Thanks for sharing, wow you have some serious wood from that tree, and yes looking forward to your gardening videos, its nice to see different ideas on growing gardens. Are you hoping on getting chickens as well this year?

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  4 роки тому

      Chickens or ducks, we are still deciding. But yes I'm hoping for them this year.

      I've seen it before its a nice one I think there's a new stihl 500 its fuel injected I think

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  3 роки тому

      Yeah I did a video explaining why I didn't buy the 500i. I've modded my 462, I'd put it up against a 500 stock.

    Pecan is about the hardest tree we have in nc it is harder then that

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  4 роки тому

      We have pecan here too, just hardly ever get any to split. It's my favorite smoking/cooking wood.

    It’s so frustrating trying to cut fire wood when it’s really windy. All the chips and dust blowing in your eyes. I reckon you should find a couple of decent firewood trees, cut them up, split them and then sell the wood and buy the saw you’ve been dreaming of. Sounds good in theory right?

    • @TKCL
      @TKCL  4 роки тому

      Yes that sounds like a great plan, however it's going to require a lot of firewood to pay for the saw I want.😃
