Obviously you think it s normal…came here for info on stairs for my dog, left quite disappointed by what i saw since you even force your dog to use them !
We love our Snoozer brand pet steps for in the house. They come in small, med, large. The covers are removable and washable. A little expensive, but awesome.
if you stand up and use the leash the dogs understand better that you want them to go up the stairs, but the fact that you are sitting on the floor looks casual and so they want to remain on the floor like you!.....remember you are always the alpha dog to them and so they follow your command not the treats...........
Hi so I have a doggy stair that my dog uses to go up to the couch. He’s now trained in using it, but now there’s this issue where every time he uses it, the stair keeps scooting back. Today, the stair scoot back so much that he slipped off and now he’s hesitant on using it. Any tips on finding a way to make the stair not move. Or do I need to get a new one that can stay in the same place?

Didn´t you know? dogs dont work to please YOU - they work for their reward, treats, toys, etc Sure, they show affection towards you, if you have learned them to respect you, and they show "love" towards you because you are the pack-leader, - but one shall never try to humanize a dog, in the long run they dont get want they need, and can begin to be "cranky" against you, and you also get frustrated in your relation.

If you feel bothered and exhausted all of the time, I really suggest you stick to tiny lapdogs or just lazy cats. These big dogs are for more friendly energetic people. You snapped at your dog without even a verbal command, revealing your toxic dynamic with them. The whole relationship needs a lot of work.
Instead of slapping the dog, you must learn it BY COMMAND to do what you want, - obviously you are doing these vids for commersial purposes, and are not particulary concerned about the animals... and to put it in another way, - you show clearly that you dont understand dogs...
My dogs don't know sit or stay, so I can relate to the your dog just working for treats. You have some beautiful dogs. I would recommend that you give them a command so they know what you want. Some word like "up" or "step". Regardless, this video was really helpful. Thank you for posting.
That was very helpful. i am looking for steps for our dogs to get onto an RV bed, which is very tall. My wife needs a little stool too! I was looking at the tall steps you showed, but the movement would probably freak they boys out, so THANKS! I actually like the video and the fact that it wasn't polished, and the dogs were being dogs. S. Smith, sometimes dogs will get a little "smack" like that
