Yes, pleasant words are like honey but if they are scratching our itching ears, telling us what we wanna hear instead of what we need to hear, placating and patronizing us without calling us to repentance where we really get the true peace, love and joy by sharing in God's tears that withstand pain & suffering while it is happening...then it is not truly helping us.

I have never heard anyone say that if you're praying to Jesus to get you out of here, then you are loving yourself but when he said it, my jaw dropped.
1:01:06. "The chuch wasn't your problem; you were." I know its important to be part of a body, but that statement just labeled a lot truly injured people as the actual problem. Just look at ihop, where I've come from. I was involved in another situation where there were at least 4 families who had children that were sexually abused by an older youth. It started with leadership stating it didn't really happen and sided with perp initially...but later changed. It was strange how none of the leaders could look victims families in the eyes any more. We tried to stay and make it work but all these families were emotionally shut out. We were no longer a part of a "...family that loves you...that cares for you" Anyway...I believe that God is purging the church now which is a really good thing. I think there are a lot more "shockers" to come.
Todd...I want to tell you that you've challenged and inspired me to deeper intimacy and closer walk with Jesus so I'm not here to just criticize...I think the church is undergoing a new reformation bc I don't think it is remotely close to what Jesus intended....from 34 yeas of church experience.
I'm thinking about doing an Acts 2 experiment. Start a group and don't do anything until Holy Spirit shows up. If HE is in it...only doing what the Father's doing hence forth. 😊

These... these preaches have been getting me hard, I was born with spina bifida and for the past 3 months, I've been dealing with a sore on my left foot, and I won't deny it, I've barely made it watching all the way, but there were besides this one saying about the foot and another one saying about the spina and as I have been using a wheelchair since I was 3, ive never seent that as something bad, as something to be ashamed of, as something that makes me different, despite socially it makes me and sometimes physically it makes me different, and I've seen my wheelchair as my safe place for so long and despite I live with it and i use it and is useful, I don't lets say "love it" anymore as I did before and i wanna be physically, mentally and spiritually stronger and the last year was an awful year and in Jan I found this preaches and I believe it has truly changed me, I know OF Jesus but I wanna know him and if he allows in THIS live, id love to WALK literally with Him, despite, I won't deny that if it's His will for some reason, thay i need to wait until the after life, I'm not mad about it.

When I was little kids at my school told me Santa wasn't real, so I confronted her. She told me to sit down and I went through all of them, easter bunny, tooth fairy..Started feeling hopeless threw up my hands and asked if GOD was real?!?

It is not for parents to decide what is truth, truth is obsolete, regardless how you feel or what you decide. you may decide 2+2 is 50 but that doesn't change the truth and truth is 2+2 is 4 so if you believe differently then you are either delusional or you need to go back to school.
