Language Minorities are much better protected in Italy then in Austria where you try to Germanize the people you call Tschuschen, also Romantsch was spoken even in Innsbruck and many Tirolian villages have Romantsch names..so even the Romanche and Ladins have more protection in Italy same as the French in Val d'Aoste. Vorarlberg wanted to join Switzerland a long time ago same as Franche Comte from France and both times there were kings interferring with the people's will. South-Tirolians today are happy to be in Italy where they enjoy more freedom.
