I am a Colorado native. Denver, born and raised, and during the time this album came out I was living in Aurora, Colorado and working downtown, which was roughly 20 miles away and made for a 40-50-minute commute into town every day. Between 6-7am I was driving towards the mountain range with the sunrise behind me illuminating the city and the mountains, I had an amazing system in my car at the time, and I would BUMP KAYNE ALMOST EVERY SINGLE MORNING!!! I SWEAR my adrenaline was pumping by the time I arrived to work, and I was ready to tackle the day like none other. With a good coffee and great music on the way to work I had never felt better, more powerful, more confident and buzzing with energy in my entire life. Thank you Kanye for those memories. I miss those days and that commute so damn much.
I remember rushing home after school because Kanye was premiering this video on 106th and Park. Right before the video played, he said it was going to be an amazing and groundbreaking video/song. He did not disappoint. It was FUCKING amazing seeing/hearing it for the first time in real time. My mom bought me tickets to the Glow In The Dark tour for my 18th birthday the next year. Still the best show I’ve ever seen.
This was a turning point for hip hop. Before this the south was running the scene. Traded the baggy shirts, baggy jeans and Air Force 1s for clothes that fit.
Yeah by far is pushing it. But it's without a doubt a top tier album for all kanye fans. It's the easiest album to like. Whilst also still being boundary pushing. It was extremely fresh in 07. Was nothing like it on the market. Miss those days.
I remember when this came out, he was having a face off album release with 50 Cent, very defining moment for hip hop. It showed that you don't have to sell a hardcore image to a broader audience. It's the reason Kendrick, J Cole, Childish Gambino, Tyler the Creator, Kid Cudi, even Drake are the biggest names in hip hop.
I remember seeing that showdown being a monumental point in music and it felt like the sales would be really close but afterwards it was mind blowing how big of a jump Graduation beat Curtis by. I admit it was late news since I didn’t have a TV in my room at that time I was 7 or 8
Technically we can thank 50 cent for the way Kanye is now. "50 told me go ahead switch your style up, and if they hate then let them hate, and watch the money pile up".

this just in, rare footage of famous rapper kanye west has been discovered. In this footage he appears to be smiling and actually having a good time. It appears the footage originates from an old music video of his named 'Good life' as he appears alongside rapper T pain and actually seems to be in a happy mood. We'll have more after this
Yeah but after this album his whole general style was completely different. "Old Kanye" was chipmunk soul, symphonies and generally feel good music. After that the music was definitely different
Pootin Plays Kanye has always been a bit crazy. Definitely more than before but that was probably the result of the growing stress on him and the constant scrutiny against him.
I remember my Mom asked me to make a playlist back in 2010. She said everyone jumped up and danced when this song came on! She was like that song was amazing! R.I P Mom!
It woke him up... Like it would do us as well... That kind of pain opens your eyes and mind up to so much more you would've never seen. Most people at clueless

im 16 rn, just graduated high school, from a middle class family thats going through some shit for some time, i am promising myself that 8 years from now, i will come backhere , and i would have earned enough money to never listen to anybodys bullcrap and have to rely on anyone for anything. be able to live rest of my life however i want, give my loved ones a bank account which would never run out of money, and live my dream life in japan. and blast this song in my expensive ass car on a empty road in a middle of nowhere japanese highway, looking up at the stars or pulling over at a bridge and enjoying the sea view all while knowing that im settled for life. thats one of the first things ill do if i ever get rich.

+Janne Rajaranta doesn't matter bout the time period bruh. a lil classic never hurt anyone. plus the statements & phrases kanyes "wordplay" that he uses would be a perfect match with what GTA is all about.. all about that good life..
This song, man - certainly not the *very* best Kanye has ever produced - but it's amazing and made me realize that I *had* to get Graduation and Late Registration, some of the best music I ever bought.
I got work in 5 hours, I really should be asleep, but I'm on such a 90's 00's vibe, man my childhood was great. Will be be tired in the morning? Sure! But my feeling towards how great music and life was surely outweighs that. Man I miss life! I hope whoever reads this, love the life and have a great day!
This is gonna be long but, there was a time in my teen years where i had the absolute biggest crush on this blonde girl, she was my best friend and i had legitimately liked her for 2 years, we did so much together and i was actually obsessed with her, i remember i bought her a $113 dollar bracelet, i did so much for her. I had a best friend at the time called Jake, hr also liked her but never told me. That day after 2 years i found the courage to ask her out. She said she would think about it and i was jumping in the air with excitement because of it, even tho it wasn’t a yes it was better than a no, I remember we went on year 9 camp and me and Jake snuck out to see her and her friend, i went for a piss and when i came back they were all over eachother making out. I left camp and caught 4 buses and 2 trains 5 hours home. I got home and was ready to end it all but then i saw that Kanye had released a new album, i put on this song and listened to it on repeat crying in my bed till the morning. Kanye saved me and i will be forever thankful for him
No, we need a giant set of speakers and a concert. Let's invite Kanye and remind him of what he once was. Let's invite Eminem, dedicate it to him for keeping it real, dedicate it to Kanye for obvious reasons, and get a collaboration going. Let's invite Lil Wayne and Nicki Manaj so we can burn the witch and bitch at the stake. Let's invite T-Pain to bartend (Get it?). Let's get every really good underground rapper to get the word out. Let's play Tupac, Biggie, Nate Dogg, and all the other martyrs of rap in tribute. Let's make an artistic paradise where anyone with a mic and a good rhyme or two can make their dreams true. Let's make a place where the ghetto doesn't exist. Let's get Coolio to make party jams again instead of porn soundtracks. Let's invite Jay-Z, JT and Royce da 5'9", Snoop D.O. double-G, Drake, and the other big names to show what we as a community want to see. Let's invite Dr. Dre so he can get his shit together with his album. Let's save our genre from those that screw it over. Let's get rid of the evil word Hater from the world's lexicon. Let's end it with a collaboration with every amazing rapper still alive in a grand celebration of Hip-Hop's grandeur in this moment.
Harley Mitchelly there's literally nothing wrong with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, in their prime, they released great stuff, and even their worse stuff isn't nearly as awful as the shit Eminem has been shoveling lately
After 28 yrs of marriage, two beautiful sons (grownmen,) and a beautiful house with all you could think of in it but a gym. This song inspired me to hit the gym at 47 again, and im not stopping for NOBODY! WHY isn't this song at 1Billion yet?

Kayne’s old shit is still boss
Yeah. Graduation is one of my favorite Kanye albums.
Yeah cuz he miss the old Kanye, straight from the go Kanye
Chop up the soul Kanye, set on his goals Kanye. He hates the the new Kanye, the bad mood Kanye
The always rude Kanye, spaz in the news Kanye
All faxxx
Kanye's Graduation is Ye's best album and my favorite album by Kanye. Ye should coming out with Graduation 2.
Old kanye was good but new kanye isn't bad either, dropping classics like Father stretch my hands, famous, No more parties in La, saint Pablo, ghost town, no mistakes, freeee, 4th dimension, Off the grid, Come to life, praise God and others
This is the Kanye West whom we all love and miss….The fun-loving and positive hitmaker that was mentored by Jay Z under the Rocafella umbrella💫✨⭐️🌟
Who’s still vibing to this in 2024❤????

this just in, rare footage of famous rapper kanye west has been discovered. In this footage he appears to be smiling and actually having a good time. It appears the footage originates from an old music video of his named 'Good life' as he appears alongside rapper T pain and actually seems to be in a happy mood. We'll have more after this

There is no such thing as a “old Kanye” 😂, he never makes the same album twice
Yeah but after this album his whole general style was completely different. "Old Kanye" was chipmunk soul, symphonies and generally feel good music. After that the music was definitely different
Exactly. Man just evolves as time goes on
@@TheWanderer7274 to a crazy person
Pootin Plays Kanye has always been a bit crazy. Definitely more than before but that was probably the result of the growing stress on him and the constant scrutiny against him.
AFTER HE LOST HIS mOM HIOS USIC HAD A DRASTIC CHANGE AND NOT FOR THE GOOD IN MY OPINION.

Psalm 93
King James Version
93 The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O Lord, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.
4 The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.
5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O Lord, for ever.
This song should have been in GTA V.
I totally agree bruh
+My Tigga Would have been nice but this is 2007 so it's not that new that's why it's not there.
+Janne Rajaranta doesn't matter bout the time period bruh. a lil classic never hurt anyone. plus the statements & phrases kanyes "wordplay" that he uses would be a perfect match with what GTA is all about.. all about that good life..

Kanye saved me and i will be forever thankful for him
bro...
Assuming this is true I'm sorry you had to go through that, and it's amazing how impactful kanye's music is
I miss the old Kanye😢
WHERE IS THIS KANYE!!!??!!?? I NEED A TIME MACHINE!
Harley Mitchelly we need to make this happen. Respect for spending that much time on a paragraph for UA-cam bro
Jason Allen It's the power of damn good music. This song makes you want to help the world dammit!
Harley Mitchelly there's literally nothing wrong with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, in their prime, they released great stuff, and even their worse stuff isn't nearly as awful as the shit Eminem has been shoveling lately
