He died when l was in grades , buh now lm invarsity l still played his songs apa l am a girl , children of my generation thought ndakasar cz they dont value these words 😢
I hope as you passed those pearly gates today, Sam was waiting there to welcome you with that big smile of his. And he handed you a guitar and you sang together from this day...till eternity. Rest in peace Mhukahuru
As a mother I feel as though someone is pracically ripping my heart out whe I listen to Sam. Didn't know this gentleman at all but when I listen to his music I am left with utter devastation to such a talent, No parent should ever go through what Oliver and his wife went through. I hope they find comfort in the knowledge that some of us (albeit strangers) find comfort in his gentle lyrics. May this young man find rest and the rest of his family peace.
Each time I listen to mamureva wani and chii chanesta, I literally breakdown; it's horribly painful. If only I could ask my Father to raise him up like Lazarus, I would rejoice like I've never done before. A young man with one of the brightest future. I must stop now RIP Sam
listening to this song makes me think its been six years since you've passed away it feels like it was just yesterday. rest in peace SAM FAMBA ZVAKANAKA
RIP the great voice that started in Rhodesia and the government of that time did not like the message. The government that took over did not like the voice again. The voice was not bad at all it had a strong message they did not like. As for me you are a hero in the music and sending messages. Long live is that voice of reason.
This song made me cry it was beautifully sang may Sam Rest In Peace this is having an impact to me now when he died l was in grade 7 now I'm in Vasity but SAM's legacy still carries on and I'm still listening to his music from time to time he will forever be in our hearts#Us as Zimbabweans
May yr perfect soul continue to rest in peace @sam mtukudzi.you are still our hero.this song is dedicated to our father's who are used to beat our mother's. Thank you so much with this powerful and touching song @Sam Mtukudzi.
made a point to attend your shows you were legend in your own right after that 1st show in jazz 105 i got hooked and followed you religiously what a loss continue to rest in peace
Wow...what a touch! I have just learnt from comments that you are gone but look your music is still alive. Atleast you left your talent here that makes others to live. We thank you for this gift.
Never get to know you but everyday your music torches my heart gone at such age? ?? wonder how your parents takes it?? will your mum tears ever stop rolling dwn
Lets Pray for Zimbabwe at its Leadership... A lesson well learned Heros of this Nation must be given their Heroic status whilst still alive.. Whats the point when one is Already Dead. A Presidential Honor could have served a good purpose whilst he was still Alive and Kicking...
I actually didn't know till about 2-3 weeks ago that Oliver had a son he was grooming to take the mtukudzi legacy forward, I feel so sad that he passed away so tragically at such a tender age. Am not an emotional sort of person but I get a lump on my throat when am listening to the young man's music and looking at his picture slides. He shouldn't have died. What a tragic loss of talent. And to the big man himself ........ keep strumming, this is what you were born to do.
