This is just a suggestion, but maybe, his Taro evolve en in Mortem Rex, he trasnformation could be partial in various stage
Normal Stage: Normal look, but with some differences, maybe make him red with a patern of black strides like the alpha Rex from Tresspasser
Transformation incomplete: His skin turn grey, he gain little spikes in the back, but he no had the godzilla like spikes
Transformation complete (when he domain the power): He gain the Mortem Rex look, but with some differences
His spikes could be blue, instead of red, and they could by turn in direction, more like Zilla spikes, intead of shark-fin type
............
Can you add some types of special evolutions for the normal dinos focus in determine stats?
Like for example, a Rex that is focus in brute force, can evolve in a Hypo Rex (Taro green brother)
Other tha is focus in speed could evolve in a Tysso Rex (Taro Black brother)
And other that is more in balance, cant evolve in a Omega 09 style rex, like the level 40 Trex from JW the Game (Taro orange brother)

Mnmn...if Godzilla if in the World, maybe the others kaijus are to, and all the dinosaurs are his decendants
Godzilla - Tyranosaurids
Titanosaurus - Spinosaurids
Anguirus - Ankylosaurids
Rodan - Pterosaurs
Maybe some dinosarus could evolve in partial kaijus?
Like for example, a Allosaurus could tranform in a Gorosaurus like creature
