I live in the adriatic coast of italy and it was wierd to look at the sea and thinking right there they are killing each other. There was a big concern in Trieste that the war might involve Slovenia
No one was right at this war. The politic and national movement destroyed that country even tho they could have easily avoided it.
My dad was 13 when war started, my mom was 8, my mom flew to Germany, while my stayed until last months of war in Bihać, then they fleed to Zagreb
