    You always know if a driver has gone through fog because the fog light will still be on 5 years later.

      There's a rule for that where i'm from, (The Netherlands)
      You're only allowed to turn the fog lights on if your sight is reduced to 50 meters due to fog, heavy snowfall, or really, REALLY heavy rain.
      We also have rear fog lights, But those aren't allowed to be turned on in heavy rain.

      @@The_One_Over_There Here in the UK it's when visibility is less than 100 meters, any more then it's a traffic offense.

    I drove a Scania for the first time last week. I didn't know what I was missing until now. I respect every driver who keeps their unit spotless (or as clean as possible). It takes a lot of effort, especially when the truck goes on and off construction sites. The mud is horrendous this time of year. But doing it regularly helps a great deal.

      terrible trucks. The vast majority are poverty spec shit heaps and the rest are great sounding v8 shit heaps. Those fancy V8s sound great for 10 minutes but after a 13 hour shift you want nothing more to do with them.

    Auto headlights are the bain of my life. I drive evening / nights and see loads of cars in low light condition with just DRL's on because the dashboard says there lights are on ( but not at the back !! ) . Best view of bradford I suggest is in fog. 🤣
    Great content as usual.

    • @ChrisM541
      @ChrisM541 11 місяців тому +3

      I totally agree. Shocking car design that does this, and, not alert the driver if their main lamp is off. Then again, a shocking number of these drivers would not know how to manually turn on their headlights. Auto = brain disconnect.

    • @Tigermoto
      @Tigermoto 11 місяців тому +1

      Auto headlights are good. DRL's are frigging horrible.
      Main Culprits seem to be Renaults and Nissans who don't turn even rear lights on with DRLs.
      They're already way too bright at night, but no rear lights on is bloody stupid.
      Volvo did it best, headlights on all the time, front and rear... Problem non-existent... But i think their new Masters at Geely have removed this because of DRLs too.

    I’ve been pulled before with tiles as well. The guy explained that each tile has a trace amount of radiation on it because they’re usually made from clay, and when you have a box full of them, that radiation is enough to trip the sensors at the exit. Think it’s called bentonite or something similar to that.
    Bit of a scary thing to happen when you’re not expecting it, especially when the border force guy winds you up and asks if you have a dirty bomb on board 😂

    good to see you picking up the two parts of the seal & putting them safe , containers come into the depot I work out of & the pin parts are left on the floor & have caused several punctures , so many they have put a sign up (though it seems many drivers dropping off containers don't take any notice or cant read ) very commendable

    Driving in fog at night is really scarey. The number of fools speeding, overtaking and no lights on is unbelievable. Even in daylight visibility is severely restricted at night even more. It best to avoid driving if you can in fog. I love how Raul makes all this super sexy nevertheless. He is so gorgeous my glasses fog up when I see him on here..

    Speed limits are being reduced all over the place. Roads that were 50 suddenly become 40 overnight with no justification.
    ALTHOUGH, the temporary 50 signs could be in regards to the crash barriers. As far as i'm aware, this is the case for the M48 in South Wales, the crash barriers have exceeded their life span and need to be replaced, although not until 2024!
