This is how I really imagine the Doom slayer , really I felt so safe watching him play like normally when you watch gameplays you feel stressed about the mistakes or situations but here no , it’s just like u think he got this , there’s no way he can fail and if anything goes on his way is totally dead I think that’s how the doom slayer makes feel to the humankind
For fun I tried to 100% the game, the level design is pretty straight forward and the locations are pretty easy to remember, there are only a few collectibles that are out of the way. After like 15 Playthroughs I basically remembered every location

This is incredible, I was mesmerized every second of it. I just finished the game on easy and struggled, some of the missions probably taking longer than your whole campaign. Just...wow.

I think my favorite part about these speedruns is that you can still see the parts that could be done slightly faster. Not saying that i could do it, but you can notice the parts that aren't done as fast as they could be
That’s only really when you play the game yourself/have a vague understanding of the more subtle strats in the run. I’ve never played a Doom so i can’t see the same detail as say you or someone else in this comment section, but when I watch a GTA V speedrun, I understand what you mean. I have to agree part of the fun of watching a speedrun is identifying where time could be saved! hence why i’m watching a speedrun of this game after binging GTA, Fallout then Skyrim runs!

Hello I'm coming to this late, I really enjoy speed runs and just want to say this game is just a joy to watch, the sound track coupled with such excellent play is so fun. Please know your performance was wonderful.
The scope shots' precision is just mesmerizing. It almost feels like as he zooms in it automatically targets the weak points. Those shoulder rocket launchers on the Revenants are not easy to hit in the heat of the combat.

I switched to my Thrustmaster GPX and turned both sensitivities down to 35, and now I can aim like a pro. And of course I keep both Aim Assist and Aim Smoothing off. Aim Assist might be OK, but Aim Smoothing is a cancer that should cease to exist. Rage 2 forces Aim Smoothing on us, anand doesn't even give us an option to turn the damn thing off. Makes aiming in Rage 2 miserable.
I'm going to be honest here, I was HOOKED DUDE, I happily watched the whole thing, after the first 30 mins I felt like I was actually in the game, I remember the original doom and that was a tough game for me, so a BIG KUDOS to you for making this, and the time you put into the game, thank you. 👍🤯😉

My advice-jump around like a madman! Don’t stop moving. Manage your ammo and switch weapons a lot don’t just use 1 weapon. You can always turn down the difficulty if you need to. The game is meant to make YOU feel unstoppable! Good luck Slayer.
I will never try to do such speedruns, I don't have time and desire to do this. But i have a huge respect for people who do such things. It's incredible! I can't imagine how much skill does it take, how much time to master this level. I dream someday speedruns will become an international cyberpsort discipline. But it is already in some sense, decentralized, via youtube, twitch platforms. Huge respect and joy watching this!!
I've been studying this video in order to help me with my own ultra nightmare run. No speed running just using this as a guide for efficiency and resource control so thank you! I was able to beat it last night and could not have done it without a playthrough like this. Watched the full playthrough (5 hour) first and then this. Amazing skills! If you are interested, it would be really cool if you made a "behind the scenes" of your speed run. How you created strats and planned out fights. Those details have always interested me. Just an idea. Keep it up man legendary gamer

Well Byte is probably better than both of them but he does the “no token” thing. It’s s actually extremely impressive how he completes all the masteries :-)
@ Just cause he uses no mastery tokens doesn't mean he's better. Mechanically DraQu has proven he is one of the best if not THE best Eternal player. Doing the Masteries without the tokens just means he likes to beat his head on a wall doing pointless challenges that aren't really difficult, just annoying.

1:25:04 i rewatched it a few times and am mind blown. He used the split millisecond the marauder went to block the ice grenade he purposefully overshot to release his lock on which led to a stagger to lock on again. Wow 😯
@@c1o6128 yeah watch Sylar do it, his channel is dedicated to doing extremely fast quickswaps and techniques, he literally tricks the marauder into looking up and shoots him while his shield is up. Another thing of note is "holoswapping", a technique he uses to swap weapons so fast the textures for the weapons hardly have time to load. Edit: the freeze grenade cheese was confirmed as a bug and patched ages ago btw

My advice-jump around like a madman! Don’t stop moving. Manage your ammo and switch weapons a lot don’t just use 1 weapon. You can always turn down the difficulty if you need to. The game is meant to make YOU feel unstoppable! Good luck Slayer.

I will never try to do such speedruns, I don't have time and desire to do this. But i have a huge respect for people who do such things. It's incredible! I can't imagine how much skill does it take, how much time to master this level. I dream someday speedruns will become an international cyberpsort discipline. But it is already in some sense, decentralized, via youtube, twitch platforms. Huge respect and joy watching this!!

I've been studying this video in order to help me with my own ultra nightmare run. No speed running just using this as a guide for efficiency and resource control so thank you! I was able to beat it last night and could not have done it without a playthrough like this. Watched the full playthrough (5 hour) first and then this. Amazing skills! If you are interested, it would be really cool if you made a "behind the scenes" of your speed run. How you created strats and planned out fights. Those details have always interested me. Just an idea. Keep it up man legendary gamer

Well Byte is probably better than both of them but he does the “no token” thing. It’s s actually extremely impressive how he completes all the masteries :-)

@ Just cause he uses no mastery tokens doesn't mean he's better. Mechanically DraQu has proven he is one of the best if not THE best Eternal player.
Doing the Masteries without the tokens just means he likes to beat his head on a wall doing pointless challenges that aren't really difficult, just annoying.

1:25:04 i rewatched it a few times and am mind blown. He used the split millisecond the marauder went to block the ice grenade he purposefully overshot to release his lock on which led to a stagger to lock on again. Wow 😯

@@c1o6128 yeah watch Sylar do it, his channel is dedicated to doing extremely fast quickswaps and techniques, he literally tricks the marauder into looking up and shoots him while his shield is up. Another thing of note is "holoswapping", a technique he uses to swap weapons so fast the textures for the weapons hardly have time to load. Edit: the freeze grenade cheese was confirmed as a bug and patched ages ago btw
@@c1o6128 so this was a bug? I just started playing doom (late i know) on the switch (lame i know) and i tried this freeze grenade trick and either i just really super suck or this has been patched and i can feel better about myself.
