Hey, i don't really know where else to pose this question, do you have a paypal setup for your gumroad? I don't have a credit card but i wanted to purchase +options node setup :)
Hey, i tried using the geometry tree in blender 4.2.0 LTS and i think it doesn't work as it is intended? I don't know if you can answer that question for me, i recall it working in 4.0.0 before, i really do like the geometry nodes setup you provided, so if it is broken, would you be so kind to maybe update it for us?
you didnt mentioned that its need UVs. when i replicated the same process, it asked missing uvs. so i duplicated the scalp part and did smart uv project. also when i added empty hair and added additonal subdivision and switched to straps my strands thickness was more than yours. it was too much. why?? how to fix it??
Brilliant tutorial thank you! And I'm so pleased to be using your hair system - I downloaded the extras and I highly recommend it for beginners like me. Anyone who professes to be a Blender grooming expert MUST have a spectacular hairstyle of their own, as do you sir. 😉
Thanks for this detailed tutorial. A quick question, it is possible to transfer the hair to a different mesh without loosing too much of the combing and settings? If so, can you please demonstrate it how? Thanks for sharing.
Somehow when I use the comb tool the ends of the curves aren't affected much but the middle parts move in the direction I "swipe". For example when I comb the hair to the back of the head the inner parts bend towards the back but the top ends stay nearly the same creating that "C" shape that looks like the hair is pointing to the front. Are there some settings I am missing out? I tried to play around with the falloff but it didn't seem like there was a noticeable difference.
Hi, I have a question, how do you combine the meshes that you duplicated to make the eyebrows, hair, beard with the original mesh? Mine doesn't want to follow the rig or the shape keys. Thanks!
thank you❤❤❤ so much for giving us your hair nodes for free .... you are really a kind human ....thankyou so much you helped me a lot and saved a lot of effort and time for all of us❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I highly recommend the hair tool addon for hair cards. It has sooo many settings that makes the process a breeze so you don’t have to place each card by hand.
a question to ask is does this new system look the same when rendered ? i saw some videos saying it needs more work did it get that needed work in the 3.5 ? and about sticking to the mesh i know it's not yet simulation ready and that it just follows the mesh is that applicable on a rigged mesh cause i want to use the nes system on my new character and idk if i should or not yet
hi, thankyou for making this simpler tutorial ! I had a problem, when Im rendering using cycles, the hair is coming as tick stripes, how do I fix that?
@PixelicaCG, great tutorial! but i have a problem with my model. I have rigged my model and whenever i change the pose the hair modifier makes a total mess of the hair. Do you know why this may be and how to fix it?
Whenever I add the mainhair node to the sculpted hair it just makes the the hair strands very small and any changes made to the modifiers don't show at all, but as soon as I remove the mainhair node modifier the hair goes back to normal. I've spend WAY more time than I should have trying to get this to work on different projects and versions of Blender but it's just been a fat waste of time. If this does work for others though all the power to ya, it's a good mini series if the nodes work.
I'm very new to blender, but how do I get the nodes? I downloaded the .blend file... but what do I do after that? When I do shift + A > curves, I don't have the empty hair option.
its a great tutorial and thank you for such an amazing way of generating hair... But how do i animate it? Like if i wanna add hair dynamics to it , how do i do it? please help
Hi, thank you for this tutorial When I try to change the values in the 'thickness' section, nothing changes. In your video, changes are also not visible when you modify this parameter. I've also purchased your extended version of the hair system, but I can't understand how to view the settings in the 'modifiers' section. Could you give me some advice on this matter?
if you dont trust someone with amazing hair on an amazing hair tutorial....wait you should trust someone with good hair making good hair tutorials. no questions
I'm using Blender 3.5 and an issue I'm having is that no matter the length of the hairs or what numbers I put into the hair length node, the hair seems to be a uniform length... and I don't know what to do about that
When I add the MainHair modifier the hair completely changes direction and looks completely different. When I try to delete the distorted hair in the sculpt menu nothing happens.
I have used the stick to the mesh option. When I select the mesh, the fur does come out of the mesh but it is still the strange distorted shape and I still cannot delete the distorted hair in the sculpt menu.
First of all thanks for the great vid! Second, My girlfriend made a cat in blender and used new hair system for it, but when we animate it, the hairs are stuck in place and don't follow the surface they were on. (we didn't have your geo node). how to fix it?
When I add these nodes to my file, my hair becomes super messy, curly, and way too long. This doesn't happen at all in your video. And also, the Align Euler to Vector node says it's depreciated.
yes, here you go: pixelicacg.gumroad.com/l/HairBeard it's not a tutorial but real-time process video you can watch alongside the tutorial to follow along, hope it helps.
The name is "Full Guide to Create Hair in Blender With No Geometry Node Knowledge", but I could not figure anything because you were skipping from one section to another and never fully show the nodes as one unit. Which is gigantic for someone who knows ZERO geometry nodes. I did use some parts of the tutorial, however the nodes were too much for a noob like me to handle.
Look! No offense, but Idk why every time I watch one of these tutorial videos, I feel like these people are just racing against fire like slow the hell down. People are trying to learn not to watch cartoons. And some of them even skip steps like how yall gone expect us to know all of these when we are just the beginners here. Slow the hell down will ya? let old ppl follow through, damn. No hate, just speaking my own opinions.
the fact I was able to emblement all of that before my laptop has totally blown up and cuz I'm damned poor I'm no more able to buy another one so it's okay Good tutorial and keep it up you're doing a great job CG 🥲🥲❤❤

this kind of hair is used in wich purpose? can we transform it into hair cards? or just animation rendered frame by frame?
Can you do a guide for fur?
When i was doing the hair stuff in slupt mode the hair was going inside the head model ... how to fix that

Do u know how can I import hair made with geometry nodes to ue5? I’ve tried converting it into mesh but it won’t
plz make a video on making realistic hairs for games. plz
thank you for this, How can I change the diameter of the hair curve?
I'm very new to blender, but how do I get the nodes? I downloaded the .blend file... but what do I do after that? When I do shift + A > curves, I don't have the empty hair option.

Can we expect same method for Eyebrows & Eyelashes ??????

Put armature modifier above hair modifier, it works with particle system, maybe it will work here as well
