- Caught a big 3D Hobbyshop Edge 540 at Omahawks field. All was going well until a little tilt in the hover. Overall a pretty good save after the hit dislodged the rudder control. Could have been much worse.

Crazy flying skill for such a young guy ,once it hit the ground the CG was so far out no way it could be controlled any longer he did the best he could do.
Darn, I was hoping he'd be able to put down safe on the grass, mad flying skills
Good save and ditch into the grass good flying to those 3d hobby shop plane are great for flying 3d.
No doubt. I told him any other pilot may not have ditched the plane so well.
3D not my thing, but sorry to see it crash. hopefully back in the air soon!
not trying to be mean, but I think the pilot needs more torque roll practice with a foamie/ simulator before attempting it with something this big. could have ended much worse :(
CaleChip I’m the one in the video, I can torque roll just fine. I choose not to do it so close to me because I think it’s too dangerous. With a 29x9 propeller it has a lot of torque. Kinda just lost orientation and didn’t want it to hit anyone.
