The Beach Boys - Bluebirds Over The Mountain (Stereo Mix with Mono Single Overdubs)

- Bluebirds Over The Mountain is a song originally written by Ersel Hickey in 1958. The Beach Boys version was released on their 20/20 album in 1969. Prior to the albums release, a mono single version (backed with Never Learn Not To Love) was released, with added overdubs not present on the album mix. While they're buried in the normal single mix, an error occurred when mixing the track in the Netherlands, making the overdubs more present.
This mix attempts to add those overdubs into the stereo album mix. It takes the isolated overdub tracks from the Rarities mix, and using some AI and EQing, adds them into the stereo mix sourced from the Pastmasters CD.
Many people do not like this overdubs, while some (including myself), love them. I tried to balance them as best as I could, making them shine a bit without being overpowering like the Dutch mix.

According to the liner notes from "Rarities", the song was remixed with for "20/20", with the overdubs included. If so, I don't really hear them like I do in your mix.
They definitely weren’t. The overdubs were made specifically for the mono single, as the label didn’t feel the single had enough punch on its own. They were not present on the original multitrack, so they were not mixed during the original album sessions.
Charles Mansions tune done by Dennis Wilson with new lyrics brought him hatred and a major murder.
Are you referring to the B-side of this single (Never Learn Not To Love)? If so, yes it is true that Manson wrote the original version of the track, but Dennis rewrote much of the song and made it a unique piece. Compare it to the original version, titled “Cease to Exist”, and you’ll see the clear difference.
It also did not make Dennis a bad person for associating with Manson, he did not realize who he truly was at first, and would grow to deeply regret his time spent with Manson.
