Why don't we trust this coaching staff more? We have 13 new guys. Plus 23 freshman. Do you not understand the CB they got from VT can play Safety.. Pickett played saftey... We have Spears already.. there are players on this squad already. Our Oline is good. Trust the process. Not to mention.. I feel like now they want to see these young guys against Baylor before making more decisions.
Also Toviano has been permanently moved to safety now, he missed time early in the year for disciplinary or he probably would've been starting there by now. We just need 1 safety
@@JohnVega-e3u I don’t think it’s about trust. Kelly has demonstrated competency and quality for a very long time. His personal frustration with performance and the points in his staff where he has to interject are items that he should reflect on and make adjustments. The start of this season was a challenge to rise towards with a two headed dragon in the OC seat. That painted a target on the assistants backs and in many folks opinions we didn’t see the staff rise to the occasion and witnessed Kelly being distracted by needing to interject.
i got a feeling they are waiting to see if Derek Williams from Texas jumps in the portal. He was the starter at Safety before being injured for the season. He’s from New Iberia and was highly recruited by LSU.
If he doesn’t close the gap on offensive coordinator, then he’s just making the same mistake Les Miles made with Cam Cameron. There’s too big of a development gap for the performance expectations.
I could buy you a case of beer of your choice for your post. 🍺🍺Kelly must get a better offensive coordinator. The offense is too predictable. If LSU offensive coordinator has a hidden offensive scheme. But Nuss can’t effectively do as needed. Then it’s not the offensive coordinator that needs to be replaced. It’s the quarterback that’s needs to get benched.
I understand the frustration and I’m with you guys but I think we can give him one more chance with Sloan as long as Kelly is much more involved in the play calling like he seemed to be doing towards the end of the season. I think Sloan just isn’t as good at calling plays for a pocket passer like nuss who has no threat at all when running an rpo style offense as defenses don’t have to account for him running at all
@@ARMY63WVETADwas it not Sloan’s first season as OC? I would rather Kelly teach a guy that bleeds purple and gold how to be a better OC than to grab someone who might be here for one season and split. We also didn’t have the weapons we needed outside. That’s not the case this year. The Oline will have to step up but the weapons are on the outside.
I understand that, but my argument would be that shouldn’t be the case for an OC at LSU. If Kelly is that involved in the play calling, then there is a problem that needs to be addressed one way or another. Given the condition of the ice Brian Kelly is skating, he’s going to have to choose between a known quantity that needs work to improve (a lot of game simulation) or seek out a higher base level competency. Les chose poorly as Cam’s health condition challenged his performance and the compassionate and competitive thing would have been to shift him to an advisor or QB coach. I may be proven wrong, but my personal opinion is Sloan is going to ruin his career by clinging to the sun for too long.

@@mkaufm1Dual OC's doesn't seem to work out unless there is a glaring need like when Brady helped Ensminger & then of course, split.
Because the fan base isn’t patient enough for development honestly

BK is good about making changes when needed.
