Wow, Greta I wish I'd traveled with you, I could have filled in as an Assistant. I'd just mapped out a Southern France trip when I learned of Excsance in Milan and the awesome fact that you road tripped the French Riviera. Although France has a stronghold on the fragrance industry, I have always favored the Italian. These sound amazing. My delay on Italy is that I could get lost there for a year, If I ever do return. Covid blocked my travels and Excsance would have been a great start. I've only seen Sospiro reviews by 2 men and 1 woman, and I'mexcited forthis review. Can't wait to see your haul.

This olfactory gem opens to precious notes of intense Ambrette and spicy Elemi adorned with the playful finesse of dewy Violet and rich Styrax, and the smooth & powerful base notes of Benzoin, Labdanum, and Ambergris.
Sospiro's masterpiece was Duetto. I'm crushed they discontinued it. I recently bought a bottle and will be wearing it sparingly. No dupe for this one, it's glorious. All the things I love get discontinued. Boo!
I think Xerjoff got the rights of those when they broke up. That’s when Sergio created the V collection. However, Sospiro has been creating new flankers that are even better! Xerjoff does have More at Than Words which is a cleaner oud jammy rose
Sergio Momo and his endless shenanigans 😅 Sospiro fragrance are still under Xerjoff umbrella, like they always were. They are distributed by the same people , staff/merchandisers are instructed to position Sospiro bottles exactly the same way they always were , right next to Xerjoff in all European niche boutiques . Not his first ride , since he's done this not ones, but multiple times with all Sospiro , Casamorati and Kemi lines ... in and out every other year ... the latest move was discontinuing the Kemi line , and officially , and immediately bringing it back as Xerjoff in new bottles 😅 A lot of brands are doing the same thing , some for marketing , some for tax evading reasons , or both. It's a bit of Chris Maurice and Christian Carbonnel type of shenanigan ... Coincidence or not my SOTD is Tony Iommi Monkey Special
Xerjoff doesn’t have Sospiro anymore. They ended the distribution relationship. Sergio got the rights to the old collections and created the V (velvet collection for them and placed a Xerjoff cap on them. Sospiro continued on and created new collections. PS- Walter P99… nice 👍🏼

I do collect fragrance for over 25 years now , since my high school days , and I know Xerjoff from the late 2009 , I even keep my very first empty bottles of Kobe and Nio. Sergio Momo is doing this for like 15th time , Sospiro was not just distributed by Xerjoff, he co-created the brand. It was part of Xerjoff, then "detached" as "independent brand" , brought back under the Xerjoff umbrella , and now again formally is United Arab Emirates based brand...like Kemi was for a couple of years by the way. Technically the brand name was Kemi Blending Magic, when "independent" at one point i had all Layla , Luna and Hermetic. The first two are now available as Xerjoff, but not Hermetic. .... The same thing he did a couple of times with Casamorati and Kemi lines, and Europerfumes were even promoting Casamorati as independent brand 🤣 👏 😂 Kemi too , from part of Xerjoff, to "independent UAE brand" , and magically brought back into Xerjoff. Not that it matters much to be honest, I wear what I like , doesn't matter the price, brand name , or if it's niche, indie or designer, but other than a fragrance collector, and a bit of a fragrance nurd, and my memory is extremely strong (often not a good thing) ,and I well remember Sergio Momo interviews when he's contradicting with his earlier interviews from just a few months back. A few years back he also said Kemi is not part of Xerjoff anymore...well.... Like I said in my first comment, according to some EU based boutique owners and managers I know , nothing actually changed in terms of who the distributor is,and like before Xerjoff , and Sospiro bottles should be displayed right next to each other.. Almost forgot, Opera and Wardasina i own in their vintage Sospiro bottles. I knew most of that, but not all. I was at the Xerjoff event to re-introduce Kemi. I remember if from before as well. But certainly you know. Xerhoff longer than I do 😀 I actually spoke to the Sospiro Management directly, at length, before filming this video. I also remember Sergio making the video announcement that Sospiro would be moved to V. I didn’t know he tried that with Casamorati collection. But I *have* noticed a trend of moving collection around. Either way, I really like this collection a LOT! And no leaky bottles 😂 (my Selfridges exclusive Erba Gold leaked and dissolved the velvet). I have confirmed with the owners directly, Sergio Momo NEVER owned Sospiro. It was always distributed to him. The current owners of Sospiro are the original owners of Sospiro, taking the wheel again.
This whole line is really nice. Except Erba Oud. That one is the worst thing I have ever smelled in my life 🤢 it smells exactly like the skin and wool of a sheep dipped in a bunch of rotten fruits. I am glad you are not getting that from it. But for me, I don’t want to smell it ever again, not on me, and definitely not on other people. To me unfortunately, it is fecal and stomach turning
I am sorry you are having that experience. Fragrance is perceived differently for everyone. It's not fecal one bit on me or to me. It's actually quite sweet and fruity, which very much enjoy. Erba Oud is one of my cool weather favorites.
Perfumes are personal. You should always try first. Hype just means it’s mass-appealing and you are far more likely to like it, but it’s never a guarantee. Also, I had a bad sample of Pasticcio and now I love it!
The constant comparison to other fragrances is not helpful along with your sniffing to try and remember notes. Just tell the notes - your Des criptions as crisp and green are not helpful.
Wow! Someone needs their coffee. I mention prominent notes for all of these. None of them are simply described as “crisp and green.” Perhaps you are skipping around and missing valuable information. Of course! They have a slight femme lean, depending on your preferences. But men love them too! They aren’t overly femme at all.

I bought a large sample of vibrato.. it was ok, nothing spectacular.. don’t believe the hype the these reviews.. first buy a sample..
