- This is lecture I delivered on "Voicing for Animation", as a Guest Speaker for Students at Anifest 2015.
It basically covered the importance of "The Voice" in animation and how the young animators should be aware of their voice and "The Voice" of the character they are designing so that it becomes easier for the professional voice talents to work on the same. "Know your breathing and realize the potential of your voice" that was the theme.

Became great fan of urs when I was child 8 yr old and saw ur interview n eventually coming to know that you are voice behind my favourite Cartoon Character Ballu (Bhalu) of Talespin. U did for various characters also in the same series. I still remember that interview of you. And Genie in the Aladdin was like ice on the cake Chetan Sir. Hats off. I recognized you immediately in the interview that you are the same Sardarji yelling "Oye Sachinn!!", Hugging him in an year old Sachins Pepsi Advertisement. U were very healthy by then. Gol-matol ekdam. U knw what sir? Even I can copy ur Ballu, Sheru, Genie, Popat style and other actors with ease nw. I strongly believe more than Voice ( Off course it is Gift) the style, catching pause of microseconds and soul is important to dub any single one. Right sir?

Very talented. Sounds much better though when mimicking Indian actors because he just can't do other accents of the West. Funny to hear Hollywood's English lines with a strong Indian accent. Kills the effect but for Bollywood, he's an ace! Best mimicking of Indian stars that I've heard.

Great Talent you've & nurtured Sir, but I have a concern on the "too much voice in animated films" these days... all these Chinese cartoons (Doreamon, Pokemon etc) doing bakar-bakar-bakar... all the time ...spoiling the silent intelligence that we used to enjoy during Mickey&Donald days. Do you think there should be less voice for a better experience?

Sir , Please make one video on stammering issue . so many people all over world are facing stammering stuttering problem. They approach to speech therapist , but speech therapist used his vocal instruments only for speaking , he never focused to try more with it. So how a blind man show path to other blind man
But dubbing / voice over artist like you, who is master of it , can guide much much more better I.e. how to breath , how to pronounce etc etc
It will be a great service for humanity

Stammering is psychological problem. It's related to a person's history of growing up. Unless he doesn't find out why and when he started Stammering one can not help.
He has to do introspection.
Every individual is unique and gifted. So if he's able to find out when and why he started Stammering it will be easy solve the problem. Hari Aum

In 2010 my 12th standard class reunion was held at a Domino's in Vile Parle. There I saw Mr. Sashital sitting at a table, probably waiting for someone. Having grown up on a diet of Disney cartoons and having seen a few of Mr.Sashital's interviews on TV, for me he was God. So in front of my buddies, I approached him and told him how I was a big fan of his, and how I loved his voice for Genie and Goofy. He looked at me somewhat irritated and just nodded, then looked away. My friends had no idea who he was and were puzzled why I received a cold shoulder. Probably the most embarrassing moment in my life. 😅😅
For me, he is still God !
