Sorry for what happened to you and for that awful feeling of everything failing (phone camera, security cameras, police and common decency). Glad you're okay because this world needs more positive people like you to drown out the rotten ones. I've had a car totaled in a hit-and-run, and while it sucks, you'll make it through. The "why" behind that person's actions is the hard part.
I am just so angry. I have footage of them driving off from my store camera. They drove off so slowly and I was too shaken up to get my phone to record. It made no sense to me. They had every opportunity to slam on their breaks and they didn't do it.
You are a brave woman for chasing that car. And that sucks that your phone didn’t record it, nor did any security cameras catch it. I agree that it's not hard to do the right thing, but yet there are so many irresponsible and/or criminal people. Honestly, I like dogs more than most people. You seem like a nice woman, and I hope things have been better in the 2 years since this incident.
Not sure whether this will help but many many years ago I almost had a hit and run too in Flushing, New York. Lucky for me and very very very unlucky for him, ( i shall get back to this in a sec ) , there was an off duty officer at the parking lot to stop him. To make a long story short, I was told later that the offender was deported out of the country. It turned out he was an illegal immigrant . . . . . . justice served but I find it hard to enjoy. I am sorry for what happened; as TLove said, thankful you are a okay.
You are very right. I am having to pay for something that wasn't my fault, but it could have been worse. I am mad that they drove away from the incident. I don't understand why someone would do that and not do the right thing and take responsibility. I just can't put myself in their shoes.
Some bad guys are jealous that other people drive a better, fancier cars. They feel a sense of control over and owning the victims by vandalizing or damaging them. You could’ve taken a picture of this assailant’s license plate. Usually people with full insurance coverage can be reimbursed for the cash value of your car, depending on the policy you choose. It was just bad luck. I feel for you.
Thank you so much. I wish I didn't experience it either. I am trying to think what I was suppose to learn from this situation. All I have is that people will do the unthinkable..
Yes, but apparently they didn't have the license plate. Lowes has many cameras outback, but they wouldn't cooperate with me. They will only show a police officer. I don't think the police officer even checked there.

It'll be okay, kid. Hang in there.
thank you
Someone told me once . . . . . At the end of the day, it’s just plastic, metal, and glass. Be thankful you are ok.

It hasn’t even been 10 seconds in and I just want to jump on and say I’m so sorry you experienced this!
Thank you so much. I wish I didn't experience it either. I am trying to think what I was suppose to learn from this situation. All I have is that people will do the unthinkable..
God Bless
Stay safe girl!
Thank you so much. I am definitely investing in dash cams.
So, so sorry. There have to be video cameras at the strip center. Have you checked?
