Hey friends, just fixed the Amazon link!
I loooove frixion pens! Also, frixion highlighters! Erasable highlighters, say what?! Trying to figure out how to fit desks into our space.
I’ve recently bought a rotary pencil sharpeners and it’s a game changer as we used basic ones. When we started homeschooling our twins started using pens as they were 7 and the youngest at the time!!! We love bookshelves!!! We love small whiteboards but we haven’t used a bigger one yet!!! Even my teenage son loves his whiteboard!!! I use small ones for teaching as well!!! I’m yet to use friction pens but I’m obsessed with my ink pen!!! My older kids love their ink pens!!! My older daughter love their desks!!!!
Those flex binders have been my favorite! All the benefits of binding but reusable. I use one for my DIY "planner" too and they are also perfect for Sonlight/Bookshark's workbook pages. The erasable pens are also one of my (and now "our" since I recently gave my son one) favorites. I may need to try the pencil sharpener you recommend because mine is just meh and it takes a few tries to get a good point. Another one of my favorites is the Lakeshore Learning table and chairs. It's super expensive but hardy and will last for years. I would especially recommend the chairs. I had gone through a couple wooden chairs when the kids were younger that ended up breaking but the Lakeshore Learning chairs have been going strong.
I just got a magnetized marker cup for my whiteboard when I was at Target - sooooo helpful!
I love all of these supplies as well! ❤️❤️❤️
I love this. I invested in a good pencil sharpener and its still going strong over 2 yrs later! I also love my frixion pens for planning and journaling. I just got an ecotank a few months ago and I am in love with it, don't ever want to go back to "traditional". I print a TON with my 7 kiddos. My kids want desks but I don't have the space in our small home. And I certainly miss having Ikea near by!
I thought about getting an ecotank - if I switch curriculum I probably would get one!!
Love those shelves and the marker holder idea...haha.....I'm always misplacing them......haha.
Thanks for all the info! Do you know what Ikea baskets would fit in those shelves?
I’m not sure, I haven’t really put any baskets on the shelves, just books 🤣
I know you didn't mention it but any fun school supplies you like for early elementary science. I would love a basic microscope and scale but not sure if that makes sense for young kids. Would love to know your thoughts.
I’m not really sure, for elementary I’ve just been using science kits that come with specific curriculum 🤷🏼♀️
Great video! Just a warning on the frixion pens. I stopped using them for anything I plan to keep permanently because if it gets warm it disappears. Which is how they work obviously but I set my coffee on the book and tadaaa it was gone. Anyway, just thought I'd share because some people store things in their attics. I'm just wondering if it would hold up in the heat. 🤔 It would be so sad to lose your records. Just throwing that out there. I could be totally wrong! Anyone else know?
If you put it in the freezer the writing will show back up. I prefer to use other pens for my more permanent things, but use the frixion for writing down what we did for school and in my planner.
@@Sillysmiles5 Wow, that could be fun. We'll have to try that for secret messages and other games like that! Good to know. Thanks!
What kind of pencil sharpener did you have that broke??
Haha, I threw it away! But it was the kind where you put the pencil in the top 🤷🏼♀️
Your shelves are beautiful may I ask what the names are? So I can look it up on Ikea😂
Can homeschool mom's get a teacher discount, or is that just for public school teachers?
Hi! I know you can get a discount at Target - I think I used out letter of intent to prove that we are homeschooling 😊
@@sciencemama sweetness! Thanks Science Mama! Love all the book ideas and homeschool help! Much Thanks! Ashley
Was looking for bookshelves!!! Thanks for sharing!
