Not for all. It is depend on your progress. and more item you have. I got a lot of staff like boosters jujus that were removed so they gave Gems instead :D
As you can see in the video. They remove some items from game, and those items will be reward as Gold jar = 1000 gems instead. I am lucky that I had those items a lot in my inventory
They don't have it on my Android so I just watch you your gameplay is the best
