Thanks Colin, when I first started it was trial and error but last year it really made a difference on both plant and root growth as you could see in the video, I just hope it helps other growers.
Nice to see you here again and happy New Year to you and your family your greenhouse seems to be coming on lovely looks good don’t look too bad so happy growing and keep safe
Happy New Year Mick ....hope all is good with you. Really enjoyed your Dracula repot and especially the mix you used for the repot. Everything is looking good in the greenhouse so I hope it keeps that way for the years to come. I'm cutting down a bit on the orchids at 84 it's getting more difficult to force myself into the greenhouse to do the necessary jobs especially in the wintertime. Thanks again for the very informative video and take care, Ed.
Thanks for watching Ed, I’ve had a few days tidying up it really doesn’t take long for it to get messy and to be honest I usually forget to clean the fogger, I can understand the amount of work you have to do and none of us are getting any younger, just do what you can and stay safe and warm. It’s getting hard for me to motivate myself to do a video these days that might be to do with the weather as well.
Happy New Year Mick, many thanks for another informative video. I love seeing your plants, all so immaculately displayed. I was also cleaning up in the greenhouse today, and the shining morning sun made it easier. Looking forward to your next video. Happy growing. Best regards, Selva from London.
Thanks for the encouragement selva, I think we all know the jobs need doing but we say , I’ll do that tomorrow “well I do” and it gets forgot until we have a problem and yes it makes it more enjoyable when the suns out. Happy growing.
Happy New Year, Mick! I will probably try your mix. It looks interesting. I think what put me off using moss, when I first started out, I was always told to put the moss in tight. It went off so fast. I think I only started using moss again after watching your channel. Thank you for sharing, have a wonderful 2022.
Patrica I found my moss was compacting after a while and on a close look the moss on the inside of the pot was bone dry and was not hydrating the roots so I change to a more airy mix which has improved my root growth tremendously and stays moist much longer, thanks for watching and commenting happy new year to you as well.
Happy new year Mick! Hope you will have some dracula for sale soon on your website. I really want to grow some in inorganic media to see if they will like it. Really enjoyed the video😊
Happy new year Adam, I've actually done a couple of masdevallia repotting videos the most recent one was video number (51) Dated 8th sept 2020 and Ive not changed anything since, Hope this helps buddy. It becomes difficult some times trying to do a youtube channel without repeating content.

Happy New Year Mick 😁 I will take the plunge this year and give Massies a go (Draculas are way too expensive in my shop so those will have to wait a bit (60 euro for a Dracula) Do you have a heater running in the grow room at the moment ?
Yes Ynse I try to keep the temperature at 12°c and down to about 10at night set on heaters but on milder days I leave it to nature and don’t use the heater. Happy new year to you buddy.
New music for the new year, I really liked the old music but the new still has a slight flavour of the previous music.
Good looking plants.
A change can be good sometimes, I just fancied a change from the old intro. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thanks Mick it was really great to watch you with the draculas and to see the mix you used for the repot.
