That is absolutely stunning!! How beautiful and what a once in a lifetime experience. The calf is almost as large as an adult humpback!! And momma feels totally comfortable enough to let it near the boat. Simply awesome

I was in Baja, sea of Cortes..we had 3 blue whales, speed swimming just about 10 ft in the water. Female her calf and ‘the escort ’ a male. He was trying to get between mum and her calf. We were in a Panga, very small boat racing along beside them. Richard Sears a marine biologist (one of the world’s foremost experts on Blue Whales) . He runs a research station on Mingan Island in the gulf of St. Lawrence, MICS- check him out. It was the most exhilarating and thrilling moments in my life. I feel sooooo privileged and sooooo lucky to have had such a rare and unique experience. You can’t buy these incredible moments that animals give us. They enrich are lives by existing in our world. STOP whaling and exhibiting killer whales, in fact stop all animals from cruelty, from captivity from being exploited, as they are literally dying to entrain us Rant over. I’ll never forget that trip.
