So, what caused the giro to spin in? Was the forward speed too slow to keep the rotor spinning fast enough ? These things are fascinating,. Some say they are docile and easy to fly, but this vid shows different characteristics!I have heard of the deathspiral and that it is topical of autogiro behavior. Experienced pilot please explain!
I think the bank angle was too steep and there was too little elevator or speed. For this reason the main rotor got unloaded (nothing pulling down on main rotor) and therefore - crash. I just ordered this gyro and I'm studying how it flies. So only theory here.. Please correct me if I'm wrong. And thank you for this video. I think i will approach flying this thing with a lot more caution than if I wouldn't have seen it.
@jajzi64 Looks like this is very different from rc helicopter. The bank angle wasn't that steep for heli, but I guess it is for Autogyro. Interesting flying machine that looks like a heli but flies more like an airplane.
Had you turned back on the auto rotate it would have been recoverable
Your rotor slows down to almost zero RPM at 1:20. *You must keep that rotor RPMs up or autogyros fall out of the sky.*

yeh ..by jove...can't totally rule out bloody tx/rx commo break...far too common for durafly machines w/hk avionics...🤔🇬🇧🇪🇦🇨🇵🇮🇱🇺🇸🇦🇹🇩🇪🇨🇦👏
