We loved our 14’ square stern. Sold it, at a profit btw, and bought a 14’ wide stern to use our 2.5 merc....but usually with one of our electric motors. I will be buying another in the spring. Either a 12 or 14’ pointed. We love fishing little ponds up here in northern Ontario. I want a light canoe that’s easy to portage and is very stable for fishing. Dragged my Bismarck fishing kayak through the bush on a trip this summer and decided that’s enough! Getting way too close to 70 for that stuff! Lol. Had so many different canoes I’ve lost count, but hard to beat the sportspal for a fishing canoe!

I already own a sports pal, gotta make some seats for it... and then just picked up a Contour... my mom found it and the first thing she said was "it has seats!" So keepong one for my local club pond and one for portaging

I would like to re-paint mine, previously someone painted it camo, i believe it was originally birch bark, and thats what i want to go back to. Can you please tell me where to get the paint? I know theres a manufacturer place in Michigan, i dont know if its worth shipping to them to refurbish or me give it a go. I also need all the foam. I have a 14' sportspal pointed. I would also like new decals.

@tomwoods8678 the paint used is an enamel made by Sherwin Williams . In the U.S the top provider of parts is Kenco outfitters in New York. There is a dealer in Michigan called Jay's outdoors. If the don't have the parts needed, you can get in contact with Baywood Enterprises 705 476 4406. I'd try the U.S option first could cut shipping costs.

3 of us bought ours to fish out of when they came with those cheesy/useless foam seats...And if a single person is out in... put a 40 gallon cooler in the front and fill it with water...keeps the nose down . The wind comes up in the video above the wind is going to catch that bow and the canoe is going to spin like a top..
