Continuing to follow along with this series, but now more as a critique. This is the first video that has more or less delivered what it claimed to, and also not filled the whole series up with irrelevant detail on the app. The justification for the app-building part seemed to be that the app had a built-in error that would cause crashes. My expectation was, based on that first video, that I would see how the crash-reporting process worked. But, not so far. It really is frustrating that your point of view in this series seems more to be to create a very smiley persona who doesn't seem to care why I could come to view this series. Interestingly, your views seem to be one-third of those of each previous video, and I can tell you why that is. In fact, I just did. As I progress, your videos become a stronger and stronger argument in favour of not subscribing, which is crazy, because you clearly know your stuff. But you're not getting it across in a way that respects good teaching/pedagogical practice....
after adding or selecting the build in the tester group, Do i need to do something else? the status is "Waiting for Review" do i need to send it for review ? or i will just wait ?
If it's your first build for the app then Apple needs to review it. This may take a few days. BTW, check out my *MUST WATCH Core Data tutorial* : ua-cam.com/video/nwNx-WXA-pw/v-deo.html
Hi Alex, Thank you for a great video - very helpful :-) I have a question, is there a way to shorten the test period from 90 days to for example 1 or 2 days? If I want to make sure external people dont have permanent access to open my app for three months. I have already tried to remove mails from Testflight and remove the build from the group, but it seems as if someone did download the app on TestFlight in the first place, they will still have access to open the app on my phone. Do you have any suggestions on how to avoid this situation, and give me better control on when people have access. Thank you so much in advance :-) All the best, Maria
You should simply create a link and remove it whenever you see it fit. BTW take a look at my latest Core Data tutorial about NSFetchedResultsController: ua-cam.com/video/AcWgH5jgwQc/v-deo.html
Thanks Alex for this tutorial about TestFlight. Video is great and helpful. BTW, when I'm adding External group and submit on TestFlight for review, there's an error occurred. Can you help with this. Thanks.

Very nice tutorial, appreciating your work! So, can I add my app to TestFlight without having real iPhone for myself if I use only MacBook and Xcode simulator for development? I don't have an iPhone but I want to give a link to my friends who have iPhone just to checkout and test my app.
I read in the Apple Developer Documentation that the TestFlight App expires after 90 days. So, in that case, is there any way I can reactive them? Will the already running builds in external tester's phone stop working?
I am not sure whether the build will have problems after 90 days. Even if we distribute from DIAWI which is only available for 3 days for free version, the build installed can exist for many days. Probably only new downloads are expired after 90 days.

It's likely you will have to create a new version/build and sent that out to testers
