The mod is mainly meant for offline play anyway. They meant Revamp would make playing the DLC feel better because the new models, even the Ultra Supervillains, are improved with Revamp's shading style.

What's really dissapointing is that this new chapter isn't even doing anything about changing history and then having to fix it. Like atleast chapter 1 gave us zamasu goku, this isn't changing any established db history at all. Could've atleast had an out of control top or something, but nope.
Belmod is ok, but why almost no God of Destruction has a Hakai attack? Belmod looks like a random character, not a God of Destruction, same with Beerus and Champa. Goku Daima just feels so alone, without any antagonists or other Daima characters.
To be fair. The main drawing point of the "future" pack DLCs, the whole point is that we're now going to be dealing with original threats. Instead of essentially just replaying the anime with your own character.
The main issue with the Xenoverse 2, is that they know that it's because they've trapped themselves into a corner. In the modern era of gaming, it is expcted that DLC in a preceding to become free content part of the main game in the sequel. Xenoverse 2 has already added a MASSIVE roster of characters so if they make Xenoverse 3 all of that previous DLC would have to be free which would lose them lots of money, and they'd probably be boycotted by the playerbase if they tried otherwise. Quite frankly, this could easily be fixed if they added more obscure characters in Xenoverse 3 such as the armoured squadron, the other two members of the maiden trio alongside their base forms, and original characters like SSJ3 Broly like they should've done in the first place, considering that this is supposed to a game that explores what ifs we have to fix.

I'm guessing the DLC content is getting so lackluster lately because Dimps is also working on Breakers and Legends at the same time, so they might be stretched pretty thin as a dev team. One thing's for sure though, when we get a Xenoverse 3, we'll probably get a lot of characters added in thanks to the new models and animations from both games but Breakers in particular feels like a breeding ground for characters that are "missing" in XV2's roster that'll probably show up in XV3 (Frieza 2 and 3, Semi-Perfect Cell, Baby Vegeta's forms etc). As for which characters I'd like to see in the Future Saga, well the setting seems to be Conton City this time around so they could really go anywhere. Well, personally I'd love to see Android 19 and Dr. Gero show up since they've always felt kinda neglected in Xenoverse, but I know that's not happening. If we keep going in a godly theme then I'd like to see Shin (non Daima) show up since that'd be really cool. If we're going with characters that are sorta B-Tier in excitement level and DLC selling power (Base Broly and Belmod) then I think you could go with Bergamo, Majin Android 21 or Teen Trunks since they all sort of exist in that space. As for a USV, like a lot of other people have said, Frieza would be pretty great to have, or a USV Piccolo to reintroduce some of his older, more nefarious moves, or maybe USV Tien since he's hardly ever used for anything. I think it'd be pretty cool to have a USV Ginyu Force or something like that, maybe give Jeice and Burter their Purple Comet Attack. It'd be weird and pretty cool if they did an USV Bulma, just to have her fight for once, It'd be a very unique and interesting situation because of her unique position as a character. I think there's a pretty good chance we'll see USV Trunks, if only just to give him some more cinematic moves (cinematic Shining Sword Attack would be pretty dope). Lastly, there's always a good chance they'll go back to the Z villains for USV characters, so Cell and Buu in addition to Frieza.
Finally, a fallow modder they see from the point of view that we actually do, the quality of the DLC was really showing for this one the fact that these Ultra unite were supposed to be sort of revamped characters that they didn't get the chance to give them all the skills they could have or movesets duo may be time or something else back then only to end up giving him only 1 skill and reused animation for the moveset and the fact that legends and xenoverse 2 own by the same company which they use have used their asset to give Jiren so many of his Iconic moves even in modding I do that
To be honest, whenever they try to make a new Villainous mode form I just feel like they got lazier as time goes on. The Villainous Mode form being the best in my opinion, the Supervillain Mode has the best super attacks and ultimate wise, and Ultra Supervillain is just nothing sadly. They could have at least give them 1 or 2 new boss moves for the Ultra Supervillains, that's just sad really and it sucks since I love XV2 for the sheer amount of content but if this is what they're going to go then I'll probably just wait until the complete edition of the game comes out which is probably unlikely knowing they'll just milk XV2 for all it's worth-

I actually thought USV Vegeta was pretty cool and thought USV Black was pretty meh (not nearly as cool as Vegeta), but if USV Jiren is a sign of whats to come for future USV characters, I don’t want anymore. Overall yeah, this dlc was mid as hell and it’s not because it came with only three characters like how so many people thought. There are other DLCs that came out with the same amount of characters that had even more content than this one.

There's nothing to do, they've just gotten lazier and lazier with each DLC they've released, and they still haven't even thought of giving players what they been requesting SINCE THE BASE GAME RELEASED! Like I get what they're trying to do. They're trying to make it look like they're being corrupted with dark energy. But the way they look is not good. The aura is great, but the random black areas make them look weird. And the crystal is just so boring to look at. In total I have 2 problems with the future saga so far 1: Immense lack of original movesets and characters. The video points this out perfectly, only thing I’m gonna add to that is although I would fuck with a base toppo or something like that for another character, if this is truly the last dlc. i think gohma's demon realm invaded chonton with fu's help and the story for this chapter foreshadows what your custom character and fu will be doing in the final chapter with the player been put in belmod's shoes in terms of making that type of choice to redeem or destroy fu

Xenoverse has always been lazy as fuck, that's why we don't have any Xeno characters besides Trunks and Bardock, both of which don't even have their higher forms like Super Saiyan God for Trunks and Super Saiyan 4 for Bardock. Oh yeah, Super Saiyan 4. They give us all the God forms, even the visually boring Blue Evolution, but refuse to put in the effort for Super Saiyan 4.

You see the fact we have 3 Jiren dlc, while all of them together could work as one character. Considering their constant desire to just reuse assets, my biggest hope is probably a full power Bojack (even if it's a USV variant) and Bojack movie Teen Gohan preset/remix character. Those 2 have received less than 0 respect over the years considering Bojack showed up as an oddball DLC choice and pretty much only showed once since then to be a jobber in the last DLC, and having a Teen Gohan that sucks in a Dragon Ball game is WILD in this day and age. Having a DLC featuring those 2 getting some love and cool stuff would be nice. Unfortunately, having it focus on that right after a DLC that focused on the insane power of USV Jiren and how he needed multipe GoDs keep him down is gonna be pretty unbelievable as any major threat which could be a problem.

Honestly if they just added Base Toppo, Majin Android 21 and Master Roshi in this pack with another extra story on Majin Android 21 (just like the 1st pack had Broly story) and added Blue Kaioken (Saiyan), Potential Unleashed and Orange form (Namekians) Max Power (Human and Frieza Race) and Pure Evil (Majin Race/ Majin Android 21 transformation), this pack would've been worth it.
Super villian jiren leaves much to be desired I agree 1 new ultimate attack for him feels pathetic, especially when daima goku gets all these cool new moves but doesn't show up for the story. Belmod tho I think is handled really well infact I would call this the belmod dlc, the story is mainly based around him, he has the best moveset out of all the new dlc characters Imo and he gets one of the best super attacks in this dlc being god of destructions plaything (thats is real name lol) I would say for a dlc that cost 10 usd it gives me what I wanted a good story mode with some new moves that are actually good, we got two great super attacks 2 alright super attacks that add flavor, and we got 3 new ultimates I say all and all the dlc wasn't horrible it just leaves much to be desired

I think I understand why jiren usv is "trash" made. In the previous dlc, black usv had the moves he does in the breakers and they put those moves in xenoverse 2 to make black usv, "so what?" You know, as someone who played this game for 5 years, and stopped a few years ago, I wish I could say I was surprised. This is just how this company operates, they know people will buy anything so they can just keep pumping out stuff like this and not care about the quality. This is the same company that still hasn’t given us tails that actually move, so it feels like they are cool with just half assing most characters.
I kinda feel like an oddball in this, but I kinda like the new ultra supervillain characters. Yes, Jiren was a total letdown, but SSG Vegeta and SSR Black were so cool and hopefully more ultra supervillains are made like them. Idk, I guess I’m more hopeful that spiteful.
At least the last DLC was fun. 5 characters, most of the reskins actually being pretty fun with a lot of new super attacks and an entertaining story. This is as lazy as a DLC can be and I haven't wanted to so badly not buy a DLC for this game since Cabba and Frost.

Also redo the multiverse tournament while adding king cold Kakarot(what if) and bulla from dragon ball multiversus. Also supreme kai west and Xicor. Also forgot Chronoa's full power form alongside Aeos full power form as well. Adult gt gotenks and gt goten Gohan videl & 18. Also adult gt goku as a new character; with power pole and halo as a 2nd slot.
I haven’t played XV2 seriously since mid 2017. And while I am glad to see the game still receive support even after all these years, you can tell the DLC stories are just random stuff they can do because it’s “Time Travel”. XV2’s base story is nothing to write home about, and I was hoping to see more unique concepts. Hell, the entire game is built off of “What If” scenarios. Give me something on the scale of what Super Dragon Ball Heroes is doing. Just a bunch of different characters having different forms, or different storylines. Go insane with the crazy scenarios. They could at least take a page out of Sparking Zero’s What Ifs. Like Gohan Black. But nooo, we have to put up with Fu and characters get a Rock Candy stake in their chest, which is considered a “New Powerup/Moveset” I want SSJ3 Vegeta, SSJ3 Broly, Hatchiyack, hell, I’d be happy if we got Manga Characters. (Which at this point, is a pipe dream) I know the modding scene is going strong to this very day, and that’s all that seems to fuel replayability. And if I ever get back into playing XV2 again, I’ll probably get some mods for it, including yours. I don’t see the reason to justify getting any new DLC unless it’s a unique concept. We need XV3 at this point.
Yeah this dlc sucks, especially when the characters keep on disregarding and ignoring the fact that our CAC’s are capable of going Ultra Instinct and freaking Beast at will yet the characters keep on gawking on how strong Jiren and Goku are, AGAIN. Chapter 1 had us in the main protagonist role for the first half, CAC doing the punch to Broly was awesome they should do more of that.
I remember over the years, people have often said things like "yoo this mod is so cool, why can't the devs do this?" Statements like that were taken as a backhanded compliment at the expense of the devs, and while it very much is, I think it's entirely justified for many to be annoyed at the fact that the things possible within the mods are thanks to the game's own content. I never understood why they were shunned and shamed, because all we've been seeing with the amazing mods is that modders are able to push the game's limits (FOR FREE) so much fucking better than Dimps ever will with a budget 😭. (I'm willing to bet that anything fix/content-wise ever asked for was already made by modders so long ago.) This is how I felt many years ago, and at this point, I've come to the conclusion that this game to me will be nothing more than wasted potential. Especially with how this future saga is turning out to be, content-wise.

For me, the last DLC was bad. I think the DLC characters weren't necessary except for C18 and Broly. Instead, they could have just sold us an attack set, cheaper of course... But at least they would have saved time and could have worked on other DLC characters. I also don't like the fact that the festival attacks have replaced the custom keys, that's really a big downgrade. The worst part is the grinding, bro leave me alone, I don't want to do any more Broly, Vegeta or Goku missions, I don't have the strength for it anymore!
You're right on the character keys actually. One of the big things about xenoverse is customization, and the character keys + mentor presets were perfect for it. For characters you could directly train under, you got a free customizable preset of them (highlighted red in character select) that you could pay tp medals to unlock more options for. And for characters that weren't mentors, you could pick up keys from raids that would unlock their preset (highlighted blue). The last ones we've gotten were over a year ago now iirc. They're now just doing festivals over and over and adding 1 new move for characters that already exist. This isn't what we want from xenoverse, it's just boring and lazy.
The bullshit fact that the colorable character clothes are locked behind an event when really they should all be added to the shop. Not everyone plays online, and not everyone has the time to get online and grind out an hour or so for a piece of clothing that you can customize that should have been in the game YEARS ago.
My main gripe with XV2 is the lack of offline modes. All I do (when I did play the game) is just replay a crap ton of PQ's and the story mode which got super boring. Even online barely gives you anything besides that festival of universes and that whole thing is to just get you back into playing the same game modes, lmao.
That's exactly the problem with Xenoverse 2. Another thing is that they are adding all this stuff in it, and they release an enhanced version of the game, but this game still has the same flaws. They never bother to fix anything that is wrong with this game but continue to add content to a game that can barely function. It's not just Bandi and dimps that are to blame for the laziness. We also have to blame some of the Xenoverse community for buying into this stuff because the way bandi is seeing it, as long as dlc keep on coming, they will buy it even though our game still has server problems and modders on the PS console that ruin the fun for the game, and even though this game may have some bugs and issues on the vanilla pc version. These Xenoverse fans that support this mediocrity are the same people saying that dragon ball sparking zero is a terrible game while comparing it to this one. I don't hate Xenoverse, but I do think it is pass time for this game to die off now.

They release a new gen console version of the game with what is supposed to have better graphics, but the only thing that the enhanced version has that is different from the regular one that I have seen, is moving grass in the wind in the pod lad area. If you have the old gen version, you can still get the enhanced version. Even with the enhanced version, however, the game still has the same problem the older gen version had. They never fixed the game.
I hope that the whole future saga is not like this, because otherwise it would be serious, the first chapter was an incredible DLC and a great start for this DLC saga. I hope it doesn't end like this.
Don't you think they are also not giving their all because future saga DLCs is gonna be the last DLCs before a possible XV3 possibly? So they are focusing most of their resources on that instead? In fact most other companies don't do as well when making things for their other games if they are developing a new one. So there is a possibility that is why it doesn't have much.
The whole thing just scream laziness to be honest, they should have added different character, Instead of supervillain jiren, belmod should have been in the base game from the start They should add turning orange awoken skill for namekian, LSSJ awoken skill for saiyan, turning buff for human, hair change when turning super saiyan, aura sold offline, more custom clothes, make the goddamn saiyan tail move instead of being stiff, looking like a long sh*t coming out of CaC butt, More armor or clothes from the main cast that is customizable and stop making rng being a pain in the ass!
I dont know how anybody would defend this. Legit, the only thing that I was looking for was Belmod and Hakaishin moves and that's it. I knew story was gonna take up at most an hour and grind of 4 PQs and clothing will be the rest. Leveing up grind is a pointless filler along with online raid "artworks" that arent even artworks. I probably could take better screenshots of those CGI cutscenes myself and should we have our own loading screens that we could make, I would make better myself too. The biggest pet peeve of main is the CGI Cutscenes and moves being used in them being complete false advertisement should they give them out in the trailer, which they do. Like you said yourself, where is Base Lorax, I mean Toppo?! This would be the BEST time to implement him, on top of updating the Gods Of Destruction we currently have and their either custom preset, or an extra preset with a Hakaishin moves. Dumbest ideas I had was to add sparking zero what if characters such as Gohan Black or Super Vegeta (Z-early). Would give us fun new ideas to try out. Plus they should’ve added in more transformations just to keep them fresh since after Beast, there hasn’t been any new ones.

I honestly liked the ultra supervillain goku black and Vegeta im pretty sure they got more than one new skill i honestly hate the Jiren one they literally only have him one one skill out of the many they could have added from the anime that isn't in it this second part is probably the laziest dlc I've ever seen in this game hell the rest of the packs had more value then this one.
pretty much most of thje DLC that comes out. they give you 2 or 4 new moves and the rest are recycled moves. full powered energy wave or some other crap the characters already have. Could at least give more new moves and animations. It's been like this since day one. it's just that the most recent dlc is the worst for $10 when character dlc from games like fighter Z have their own kits and gimmicks for half the price.

Ultimate Hearts was hard af. He beat everyone and killed Zamasu just with one attack. He should of been in it because Fu is on of the main antagonist from DB Heroe's anyway. This is the worst dlc from xenoveres and Belmond and Mini Goku are shitty new characters anyway.
The only story i liked was Goku black vs zamasu(goku control) Vegeta and universe 6. The Broly story should have been made a long time ago and beerus vs Goku and Vegeta including their dlc characters. Such a missed opportunity to not have zamasu (goku control) as a new character especially having a spirit bomb fist strike ult(side note: the va for zamasu killed it as being Goku in that story actually loved his performance)

I think the toxic positivity is compensation for sparking zero players telling them xeno is going to die bevause of the game. They're wrong, its not like we cant play both games but both can be underwhelming.
I think it's clear that Xenoverse is holding back on us a bit, after having a 5 character DLC pack and 3 seperate stories, they rushed out Pack 2, so I think that the final 2 DLC packs will be where we wrap up the story of Xenoverse 2 and we see Fu's full descent into madness, as we get to see what Fu saw in the Future that lead him to attempt murdering his friend the Time Patroller, as for who I wanna see next, I would really love to see Demon King Piccolo and Tambourine be playable because they're the first mainline villains to set the groundwork for all of Z's villains

What's really dissapointing is that this new chapter isn't even doing anything about changing history and then having to fix it. Like atleast chapter 1 gave us zamasu goku, this isn't changing any established db history at all. Could've atleast had an out of control top or something, but nope.
Belmod is ok, but why almost no God of Destruction has a Hakai attack? Belmod looks like a random character, not a God of Destruction, same with Beerus and Champa. Goku Daima just feels so alone, without any antagonists or other Daima characters.

The main issue with the Xenoverse 2, is that they know that it's because they've trapped themselves into a corner. In the modern era of gaming, it is expcted that DLC in a preceding to become free content part of the main game in the sequel.
Xenoverse 2 has already added a MASSIVE roster of characters so if they make Xenoverse 3 all of that previous DLC would have to be free which would lose them lots of money, and they'd probably be boycotted by the playerbase if they tried otherwise.
Quite frankly, this could easily be fixed if they added more obscure characters in Xenoverse 3 such as the armoured squadron, the other two members of the maiden trio alongside their base forms, and original characters like SSJ3 Broly like they should've done in the first place, considering that this is supposed to a game that explores what ifs we have to fix.

I'm guessing the DLC content is getting so lackluster lately because Dimps is also working on Breakers and Legends at the same time, so they might be stretched pretty thin as a dev team.
One thing's for sure though, when we get a Xenoverse 3, we'll probably get a lot of characters added in thanks to the new models and animations from both games but Breakers in particular feels like a breeding ground for characters that are "missing" in XV2's roster that'll probably show up in XV3 (Frieza 2 and 3, Semi-Perfect Cell, Baby Vegeta's forms etc).
As for which characters I'd like to see in the Future Saga, well the setting seems to be Conton City this time around so they could really go anywhere. Well, personally I'd love to see Android 19 and Dr. Gero show up since they've always felt kinda neglected in Xenoverse, but I know that's not happening. If we keep going in a godly theme then I'd like to see Shin (non Daima) show up since that'd be really cool. If we're going with characters that are sorta B-Tier in excitement level and DLC selling power (Base Broly and Belmod) then I think you could go with Bergamo, Majin Android 21 or Teen Trunks since they all sort of exist in that space.
As for a USV, like a lot of other people have said, Frieza would be pretty great to have, or a USV Piccolo to reintroduce some of his older, more nefarious moves, or maybe USV Tien since he's hardly ever used for anything. I think it'd be pretty cool to have a USV Ginyu Force or something like that, maybe give Jeice and Burter their Purple Comet Attack. It'd be weird and pretty cool if they did an USV Bulma, just to have her fight for once, It'd be a very unique and interesting situation because of her unique position as a character. I think there's a pretty good chance we'll see USV Trunks, if only just to give him some more cinematic moves (cinematic Shining Sword Attack would be pretty dope). Lastly, there's always a good chance they'll go back to the Z villains for USV characters, so Cell and Buu in addition to Frieza.
Finally, a fallow modder they see from the point of view that we actually do, the quality of the DLC was really showing for this one the fact that these Ultra unite were supposed to be sort of revamped characters that they didn't get the chance to give them all the skills they could have or movesets duo may be time or something else back then only to end up giving him only 1 skill and reused animation for the moveset and the fact that legends and xenoverse 2 own by the same company which they use have used their asset to give Jiren so many of his Iconic moves even in modding I do that
To be honest, whenever they try to make a new Villainous mode form I just feel like they got lazier as time goes on. The Villainous Mode form being the best in my opinion, the Supervillain Mode has the best super attacks and ultimate wise, and Ultra Supervillain is just nothing sadly. They could have at least give them 1 or 2 new boss moves for the Ultra Supervillains, that's just sad really and it sucks since I love XV2 for the sheer amount of content but if this is what they're going to go then I'll probably just wait until the complete edition of the game comes out which is probably unlikely knowing they'll just milk XV2 for all it's worth-

I actually thought USV Vegeta was pretty cool and thought USV Black was pretty meh (not nearly as cool as Vegeta), but if USV Jiren is a sign of whats to come for future USV characters, I don’t want anymore.
Overall yeah, this dlc was mid as hell and it’s not because it came with only three characters like how so many people thought. There are other DLCs that came out with the same amount of characters that had even more content than this one.
Or sometimes less characters. Just look at the dbs broly vs gogeta blue dlc. That came with as much, maybe even more skills then this new pack, definitely had more super souls, and sure, it didn’t have a extra story, but at the time, the movie wasn’t even out, so it was justifiable. And the crystal is just so boring to look at. They don't do anything cool with the crystal, they just slapped it on their chest and called it a day. 2: Fu’s “betrayal”
Honestly, is it even right to call it a betrayal? I sure as hell don’t. Don’t get me wrong, I like the thing going on between the cac is Fu. Heavily implying they both look up to each other, they would like to be close friends or SOMETHING. I might be reaching out, I just like the trope between the 2. My problem comes in when supreme kai of time says “Don’t tell me…. You’re being manipulated by your experiments?” Supreme kai of time, I’m gonna hold your hand when I say this, but Fu has been messing with time and being a pain in our asses for more than 5 years. No, he chooses it either because he can or he craves something (most likely power). Something is telling me we were supposed to be shocked when Fu said “nah, I chose this.” When in my opinion, that should be a no shit statement.
This point is off topic from the last 2, but I really, really, REALLY fucking hope if Fu is the final boss, he gets a new form either directly from heroes (I haven’t watched it so if he has no forms correct me.) or something new to hype us up. Though, they’ll probably just give him ultra supervillain or something. Though, they’ll probably could just make the final boss unplayable like they did with final form mira. I guess we’ll see how this plays out.

i think gohma's demon realm invaded chonton with fu's help and the story for this chapter foreshadows what your custom character and fu will be doing in the final chapter with the player been put in belmod's shoes in terms of making that type of choice to redeem or destroy fu

Xenoverse has always been lazy as fuck, that's why we don't have any Xeno characters besides Trunks and Bardock, both of which don't even have their higher forms like Super Saiyan God for Trunks and Super Saiyan 4 for Bardock.

Considering their constant desire to just reuse assets, my biggest hope is probably a full power Bojack (even if it's a USV variant) and Bojack movie Teen Gohan preset/remix character. Those 2 have received less than 0 respect over the years considering Bojack showed up as an oddball DLC choice and pretty much only showed once since then to be a jobber in the last DLC, and having a Teen Gohan that sucks in a Dragon Ball game is WILD in this day and age. Having a DLC featuring those 2 getting some love and cool stuff would be nice.
Unfortunately, having it focus on that right after a DLC that focused on the insane power of USV Jiren and how he needed multipe GoDs keep him down is gonna be pretty unbelievable as any major threat which could be a problem.

Honestly if they just added Base Toppo, Majin Android 21 and Master Roshi in this pack with another extra story on Majin Android 21 (just like the 1st pack had Broly story) and added Blue Kaioken (Saiyan), Potential Unleashed and Orange form (Namekians) Max Power (Human and Frieza Race) and Pure Evil (Majin Race/ Majin Android 21 transformation), this pack would've been worth it.
Super villian jiren leaves much to be desired I agree 1 new ultimate attack for him feels pathetic, especially when daima goku gets all these cool new moves but doesn't show up for the story. Belmod tho I think is handled really well infact I would call this the belmod dlc, the story is mainly based around him, he has the best moveset out of all the new dlc characters Imo and he gets one of the best super attacks in this dlc being god of destructions plaything (thats is real name lol) I would say for a dlc that cost 10 usd it gives me what I wanted a good story mode with some new moves that are actually good, we got two great super attacks 2 alright super attacks that add flavor, and we got 3 new ultimates I say all and all the dlc wasn't horrible it just leaves much to be desired

You know, as someone who played this game for 5 years, and stopped a few years ago, I wish I could say I was surprised. This is just how this company operates, they know people will buy anything so they can just keep pumping out stuff like this and not care about the quality. This is the same company that still hasn’t given us tails that actually move, so it feels like they are cool with just half assing most characters.
I kinda feel like an oddball in this, but I kinda like the new ultra supervillain characters. Yes, Jiren was a total letdown, but SSG Vegeta and SSR Black were so cool and hopefully more ultra supervillains are made like them. Idk, I guess I’m more hopeful that spiteful.

I haven’t played XV2 seriously since mid 2017.
And while I am glad to see the game still receive support even after all these years, you can tell the DLC stories are just random stuff they can do because it’s “Time Travel”.
XV2’s base story is nothing to write home about, and I was hoping to see more unique concepts. Hell, the entire game is built off of “What If” scenarios.
Give me something on the scale of what Super Dragon Ball Heroes is doing. Just a bunch of different characters having different forms, or different storylines. Go insane with the crazy scenarios.
They could at least take a page out of Sparking Zero’s What Ifs. Like Gohan Black. But nooo, we have to put up with Fu and characters get a Rock Candy stake in their chest, which is considered a “New Powerup/Moveset”
I want SSJ3 Vegeta, SSJ3 Broly, Hatchiyack, hell, I’d be happy if we got Manga Characters. (Which at this point, is a pipe dream)
I know the modding scene is going strong to this very day, and that’s all that seems to fuel replayability. And if I ever get back into playing XV2 again, I’ll probably get some mods for it, including yours.
I don’t see the reason to justify getting any new DLC unless it’s a unique concept. We need XV3 at this point.
Yeah this dlc sucks, especially when the characters keep on disregarding and ignoring the fact that our CAC’s are capable of going Ultra Instinct and freaking Beast at will yet the characters keep on gawking on how strong Jiren and Goku are, AGAIN. Chapter 1 had us in the main protagonist role for the first half, CAC doing the punch to Broly was awesome they should do more of that.
I remember over the years, people have often said things like "yoo this mod is so cool, why can't the devs do this?"
Statements like that were taken as a backhanded compliment at the expense of the devs, and while it very much is, I think it's entirely justified for many to be annoyed at the fact that the things possible within the mods are thanks to the game's own content. I never understood why they were shunned and shamed, because all we've been seeing with the amazing mods is that modders are able to push the game's limits (FOR FREE) so much fucking better than Dimps ever will with a budget 😭. (I'm willing to bet that anything fix/content-wise ever asked for was already made by modders so long ago.)
This is how I felt many years ago, and at this point, I've come to the conclusion that this game to me will be nothing more than wasted potential. Especially with how this future saga is turning out to be, content-wise.

For me, the last DLC was bad. I think the DLC characters weren't necessary except for C18 and Broly. Instead, they could have just sold us an attack set, cheaper of course... But at least they would have saved time and could have worked on other DLC characters. I also don't like the fact that the festival attacks have replaced the custom keys, that's really a big downgrade. The worst part is the grinding, bro leave me alone, I don't want to do any more Broly, Vegeta or Goku missions, I don't have the strength for it anymore!
You're right on the character keys actually. One of the big things about xenoverse is customization, and the character keys + mentor presets were perfect for it. For characters you could directly train under, you got a free customizable preset of them (highlighted red in character select) that you could pay tp medals to unlock more options for. And for characters that weren't mentors, you could pick up keys from raids that would unlock their preset (highlighted blue).
The last ones we've gotten were over a year ago now iirc. They're now just doing festivals over and over and adding 1 new move for characters that already exist. This isn't what we want from xenoverse, it's just boring and lazy.
The bullshit fact that the colorable character clothes are locked behind an event when really they should all be added to the shop. Not everyone plays online, and not everyone has the time to get online and grind out an hour or so for a piece of clothing that you can customize that should have been in the game YEARS ago.
My main gripe with XV2 is the lack of offline modes. All I do (when I did play the game) is just replay a crap ton of PQ's and the story mode which got super boring. Even online barely gives you anything besides that festival of universes and that whole thing is to just get you back into playing the same game modes, lmao.
They might as well just throw DB heroes stuff in Xenoverse, xenoverse wont work anymore with all of these recycled characters
That's exactly the problem with Xenoverse 2. Another thing is that they are adding all this stuff in it, and they release an enhanced version of the game, but this game still has the same flaws. They never bother to fix anything that is wrong with this game but continue to add content to a game that can barely function. It's not just Bandi and dimps that are to blame for the laziness. We also have to blame some of the Xenoverse community for buying into this stuff because the way bandi is seeing it, as long as dlc keep on coming, they will buy it even though our game still has server problems and modders on the PS console that ruin the fun for the game, and even though this game may have some bugs and issues on the vanilla pc version. These Xenoverse fans that support this mediocrity are the same people saying that dragon ball sparking zero is a terrible game while comparing it to this one. I don't hate Xenoverse, but I do think it is pass time for this game to die off now.
There's an enhanced version?

They release a new gen console version of the game with what is supposed to have better graphics, but the only thing that the enhanced version has that is different from the regular one that I have seen, is moving grass in the wind in the pod lad area. If you have the old gen version, you can still get the enhanced version. Even with the enhanced version, however, the game still has the same problem the older gen version had. They never fixed the game.
As a XenoVerse fan, this is sad. I jenuently think this game is't garbaje like many people say, but the level of lazyness put into this dlc is nuts.
I hope that the whole future saga is not like this, because otherwise it would be serious, the first chapter was an incredible DLC and a great start for this DLC saga. I hope it doesn't end like this.
Don't you think they are also not giving their all because future saga DLCs is gonna be the last DLCs before a possible XV3 possibly? So they are focusing most of their resources on that instead? In fact most other companies don't do as well when making things for their other games if they are developing a new one. So there is a possibility that is why it doesn't have much.
The whole thing just scream laziness to be honest, they should have added different character, Instead of supervillain jiren, belmod should have been in the base game from the start
They should add turning orange awoken skill for namekian, LSSJ awoken skill for saiyan, turning buff for human, hair change when turning super saiyan, aura sold offline, more custom clothes, make the goddamn saiyan tail move instead of being stiff, looking like a long sh*t coming out of CaC butt, More armor or clothes from the main cast that is customizable and stop making rng being a pain in the ass!
I dont know how anybody would defend this. Legit, the only thing that I was looking for was Belmod and Hakaishin moves and that's it.
I knew story was gonna take up at most an hour and grind of 4 PQs and clothing will be the rest.
Leveing up grind is a pointless filler along with online raid "artworks" that arent even artworks. I probably could take better screenshots of those CGI cutscenes myself and should we have our own loading screens that we could make, I would make better myself too.
The biggest pet peeve of main is the CGI Cutscenes and moves being used in them being complete false advertisement should they give them out in the trailer, which they do. Like you said yourself, where is Base Lorax, I mean Toppo?! This would be the BEST time to implement him, on top of updating the Gods Of Destruction we currently have and their either custom preset, or an extra preset with a Hakaishin moves.
In fact, there is a new super soul they made for this DLC and its only on Custom Beerus and its Lord Champa's super soul and Champa DOESNT EVEN HAVE ACCESS TO IT, as a seperate preset. "Lazy" is not an appropriate word for this anymore. We call it "Cheap". "Cheap" whilst being costly.
Dumbest ideas I had was to add sparking zero what if characters such as Gohan Black or Super Vegeta (Z-early). Would give us fun new ideas to try out. Plus they should’ve added in more transformations just to keep them fresh since after Beast, there hasn’t been any new ones.
I want to see a ultra villian ss2 teen gohan. and maybe master roshi. Also I agree with super villian stuff you talking about but they already started this and all we can do now is to hope for better characters.

I honestly liked the ultra supervillain goku black and Vegeta im pretty sure they got more than one new skill i honestly hate the Jiren one they literally only have him one one skill out of the many they could have added from the anime that isn't in it this second part is probably the laziest dlc I've ever seen in this game hell the rest of the packs had more value then this one.
pretty much most of thje DLC that comes out. they give you 2 or 4 new moves and the rest are recycled moves. full powered energy wave or some other crap the characters already have. Could at least give more new moves and animations. It's been like this since day one. it's just that the most recent dlc is the worst for $10 when character dlc from games like fighter Z have their own kits and gimmicks for half the price.

It's fine for the price chapter 1 cost $30 it had alot more content. So for $10 DLC it's acceptable your getting what you pay for. Did it feel rushed and lackluster. Sure but as I said it's a smaller cheaper DLC it's fine

Ultimate Hearts was hard af. He beat everyone and killed Zamasu just with one attack. He should of been in it because Fu is on of the main antagonist from DB Heroe's anyway. This is the worst dlc from xenoveres and Belmond and Mini Goku are shitty new characters anyway.
The only story i liked was Goku black vs zamasu(goku control) Vegeta and universe 6. The Broly story should have been made a long time ago and beerus vs Goku and Vegeta including their dlc characters. Such a missed opportunity to not have zamasu (goku control) as a new character especially having a spirit bomb fist strike ult(side note: the va for zamasu killed it as being Goku in that story actually loved his performance)
Imma be honest, I only got this because of the belmod stuff for my CAC, and because I got ps star points for buying it so I can get a completely different game
I think the toxic positivity is compensation for sparking zero players telling them xeno is going to die bevause of the game. They're wrong, its not like we cant play both games but both can be underwhelming.

I think it's clear that Xenoverse is holding back on us a bit, after having a 5 character DLC pack and 3 seperate stories, they rushed out Pack 2, so I think that the final 2 DLC packs will be where we wrap up the story of Xenoverse 2 and we see Fu's full descent into madness, as we get to see what Fu saw in the Future that lead him to attempt murdering his friend the Time Patroller, as for who I wanna see next, I would really love to see Demon King Piccolo and Tambourine be playable because they're the first mainline villains to set the groundwork for all of Z's villains

Also it's def gonna be mini Vegeta for the next DLC...because the dbs card game(digital version) uses Xenoverse Models including Goku(Mini), and they recently added both Goku and Vegeta...knowing Dimps' lazy ass they will re-use Vegeta(Mini)'s assets from that game
