- Langdale Pikes from Blea Tarn. Inspired by a walking and camping trip in the Lake District. A 5-colour multi-block print which is hand-printed using oil-based inks. The layering of colours creates additional tones.

Loved your process and prints 😊

Wonderful...
Your method is successful
I just love watching this process but still struggle to see how you manage to work out the layers - I suppose it's a bit like harmonies in a song - it requires lots of practice and a good amount of skill. Thanks for posting
There’s a full blog about how I made it here. There are a few photos near the top which show how I worked out the layers. www.michellehughesdesign.com/post/making-langdale-pikes-5-colour-multi-block-linocut-print
I’ve been printmaking for 5 years but prior to that I designed surface pattern for homeware and clothing for 25 years. So planning how a print will be made is second nature!
