This show took my breathe away. I loved the reinterpretation of kimono, but I especially loved the short chrysanthemum print dress and the beautiful long evening gown with the cranes. Stunning.
Love it. It is refreshing to see a very curated collection. These days they chuck out designs in one show like its a factory, you dont appreciate the clothes because there are so many that have to walk through to get all the designs on show. Thoughtful, detailed and above all attractive pieces will always win over a shuttle of 3-5 designs ideas iterated in various ways broken down in to say 6 types of each.
One word; breathtaking! The clothes, the music, the setting. Everything seems effortlessly regal!
I love Yumi! She's always been so true to couture traditions.

I feel that this show was created with Madame Katsura's designs and intentions conveyed to the staff. In other shows, there were some punkish designs that were not typical of Madame Katsura, and I wondered if they were really created according to her designs or intentions.

Some exquisite designs but some of them could only be worn to a reception at the Japanese embassy. There also should have been more Japanese models.
