- Vancouver's newest building just opened up and has one of the most incredible glass bottomed pool in the world. This 200 ft. high pool spans 38ft. across and sits 20 floors above traffic.

What's great about this guy's channel is that when you have no friends you can watch it and feel like you have a friend. He is so interesting to watch and can be corny at times, but in the end, he is the best virtual friend you can have that I have found. :)

Crazy idea. That’s pretty awesome. Would be scared to death. 6 inch acrylic glass holding the weight of all the water is not thick enough. Absolutely worth it.

I'm not into those pools. They're needlessly excessive. Imagine the cost of heating them in the winter and all because of the glass bottoms. The suit is needlessly excessive too, but I like it. ;)

I would think that walking on the bottom of the pool would be similar to standing on the Willis Tower Skydeck with just glass below you. I would like to try it once to experience it but it might look less frightening on video than in real life. With being in that other glass bottom pool you are probably a pro.

Thelionslipstonight I like to consider myself a pretty daring person. I’ll go on pretty much any ride in an amusement park except for the ones that are just insane. Because I’m strapped in and i know I’m safe. But being in a pool with all the pressure at the bottom pushing against glass with a possibility of the glass cracking under pressure and falling to the street is not something I want to feel. Also I love your profile picture it’s great

I have had what I am sure is the same feeling while stepping on the glass floor at the CN Tower in Toronto. I had to FORCE my feet forward to step on it, and then every fibre of my being screamed, "Idiot! What are you doing?! Get baaaaack!" I'm not even afraid of heights, I guess it's just the well-honed sense of self-preservation. :)
It gives the place all kinds of attention but I would never swim in that pool. No thanks. Great video.
I would absolutely swim in that 20th floor glass bottomed floor, and any other!, especially if I could bring my scuba gear and at some point just sit cross legged on the glass and people watch!

Mike! I would get into that pool in a nanosecond! I love your travelogue, especially the ones on trains. I have often used the train from Penn Station in New York City to Montreal to visit my friends. The food is all microwave and the bathrooms can get a bit dicey (and make me glad that I am a man)but the views are spectacular. I just watched your trip with your dad to Churchill, and I, who loathes the cold, would love to make the same trip. All the best, Chuck

When you are able to travel out of the country again, do consider checking out House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin. There is a feature called, "the infinity room."
While we were looking for a condo rental in 2019, we checked out this building. We didn't settle there, but instead found a sweet place overlooking the George Wainborn Park. Your videos are fabulous and keep me appreciating Vancouver . Thanks so much.

I lived in that building of the second pool in video. It is located 1000 Beach Avenue. There is a huge penthouse you can see driving across Burrard Bridge. A lot of people do not know the glass bottom pool exists unless you walk to the Lobby and look up. Walking on Beach Avenue a lot of people cannot see it. I have not been to a Vancouver because moved to White Rock and Covid. When I went to Vancouver in July my friend showed me that new building with the glass bottom pool bottom of a bridge connecting other building, They built the bridge over Pacific Blvd. It is shocking how much development has occurred since moving 2010. Every square inch of land is used.
