    My daughter is there now. What made me sign her up is the confidence aspect. She can draw , play music and sang(yes sang) but she is deathly afraid of public speaking. Now she is able to speak at church and is sanging all over the place no matter who is around.If you don't live in a place where discovery and or worthy jobs are an option this "School" is school but she's doing so well I'm moving to further her career. Faith without work is dead. I'm very thankful to them for everything they have and will do and I also have taught my children it's about the effort you put into everything. They don't promise to hand you a career they do offer to teach you how to find your voice and if that leads to an opportunity then that's a plus. I haven't had the same experiences at my old job that my coworkers have had so that's what makes my steps ordered for me and yours for you. They are there still there and I am proud of them. Being an owner was for me. DO The Best you can and Know What's for you is for you. See you guys on the big screen!!

    I've gone there and honestly it kind-of helped I guess. I went there for acting and did the whole Atlanta show thing and got a few managers that were interested in me. Now maybe the only reason it was OK was I have a personal acting couch who helped to understand who was not worth it or a scam and who we could trust. We are currently working on my second reel though the classes didn't teach me anything to be honest at least that got me a bigger chance. I will say I think I got lucky with "teachers" as I have anxiety and at one point had a panic attack in class to the point where I was crying she was able to calm me down so I didn't need to leave the class. But I don't know where the road ahead will lead to this was my experience.

    I'm currently apart of this class. I choose to do it for self growth everyone has their own thoughts and reason for going. I was and still going through my own struggle with confidence and self worth but the me now is way better than the me who started. The me now is more confident and I think I might actually do modeling or acting in the future. The first thing barbizon said was this is not a agency it's a school. And in schools on a hold sometimes you don't get the best teacher and sometimes you do but what remains constant it's the material of learning. My teacher told me every class is an audition not guarantee win but an audition. You put your best foot forward for all the classes, you can achieve amazing things. Maybe some people are using the company's name in vain or something but my class is pretty cool and all of us are paying the same fees and in payment plans that works for us. I am excited but realistic about the road this class will take me. If I don't get an agent from them that's fine they have taught me enough about how to go by looking for one. I hope all the best with your ventures and keep real and blessed

      the scam is the amount of money they charge you and the graduating process. they overcharge you for class when you can pay much cheaper. classes are not supposed to be $2000. for the graduating process, they promised a showcase with agencies being present but that was a lie. there were no agents at the showcase and you had to pay an additional amount of money to actually be in front of agents.

    I am a graduate of Babizon, but before that, I was already a model for a major agency. I also went to prep schools, so charm school was sort of a waste for me, other than making some new friends that were actually nice. So, other than a few tricks, makeovers and mostly snobbish girls and staff, this charm school is useless for future modeling career for anyone with such ambition. Yes, it’s definitely a charm school, it’s not something that you should be proud to tell the world. It’s far from the real world of professional modeling, but if that’s all one has to showcase, oh well… -It will definitely not put you on the map! You either have it or you don’t in the modeling world- period. Yes, I agree it’s useless to put such silly info on your resume -Refrain! Best bet is for you to do some volunteering work, take additional classes related to your field, or something that will enhance your current skills; that’s far more appealing! Just be yourself and work hard. Study hard and make something serious of yourself. I modeled to pay for my graduate degree. My modeling career was solely done on my own, I had no help! I met many famous models and made amazing friendships, all on my own and not Barbizon! That charm school was just an experience to me, nothing more. Also, I took drama in school- a real University, so yeah, it’s silly to learn from amateurs what you already knew and some. I just went with the flow…
    I think, the more you educate yourself, the further you go in life, the better you become at anything, as long as you put your best efforts forward. Remember, nothing is easy in life if you want to truly succeed! Go to NYFA for Drama and performance, or The Juilliard School-Drama and Dance.
    NYU Tisch School of the Arts-Drama and Dance.
    Carnegie Mellon University-Drama.
    Boston Conservatory-Dance.
    Yale University-Drama (MFA)
    Northwestern University-Drama.
    UNC School of the Arts-Drama and Dance, just a few to mention. Peace

    When we went to the "audition" it was such a joke after filling out a contact card at a summer street fair. They showed us many pictures and videos of people who had gone to the school 8+ years ago. All of their examples were from around 2010, nothing new or current. They made it seem like the 2 locations in our state were the only ones that existed, but in fact the out of all the "success" stories they showed us none of them went to either of the locations in our state. The "interview" was the social media guy reading over the information that we filled out on the paper that they gave us and repeating some of the questions on it for about 3 minutes. They said we had 1 day to decide and pay because the next class was starting in 2 days. The instructors have no industry experience. They are giving false information on the topics they are "teaching". The in-person classes are once a month and also ran by a woman with no industry experience who cusses at the students and says inappropriate things to the teens and younger kids in the class. Before we signed up, they said "she is exactly what we are looking for and this is the prime age". She hasn't been eligible for a single casting call they've sent us yet.

    • @sierradenae579
      @sierradenae579 Рік тому +1

      Yes but the only qualifications they’re getting are from Barbizon themselves, it’s essentially a pyramid scheme where they taking people every year and a few people get promoted to teachers, and then to the corporate staff etc. etc., or you can become part of model mafia and go work their competitions, but none of this Curriculum or any of these people are actually “sag” qualified to be teaching as far as the acting goes. I won’t speak too much on the modeling, but I’m pretty sure a real professional runway model will look at the curriculum and tell you that it’s not teaching you the actual business, they give you a Barbie doll make up kit and teach you a couple walks in church clothes. Each class puts together a cheap mock runway show to get “approved” for graduation. And then most of these girls will never be seen again unless they continue to pursue their own endeavors outside of Barbizon, and then once they do you realize Barbizon didn’t teach you anything substantial
