May I challenge that? The man is the head, that's not the same as being a provider. Many become resentful (both men and women) and bitter because we wrongly shift the provision responsibility. For those of us who are Followers of Christ, we are taught and believe that God provides. But we get into marriage and suddenly shift that to the man. It's an unfair expectation. GOD REMAINS the provider. The man leads the family, whether or not he makes the money. We would have less money fights if this was cleared up. Couples would see that they're a team, it's never about who makes more. Which ever way God brings provision to your unit, (whether through the wife or husband) is irrelevant. You are one.

I absolutely agree with you. When two marry they are one. Oneness is in everything finances, intimacy and all. The perspective we have of money is the number 1 destruction

I earn way much than my hubby and I dnt like that fact that I put in more money than him in our account for our upkeep. I have noted he has relaxed abit and I won't lie I am finding ways to safeguard my money. Lets not lie to ourselves women love to be taken care off. I have a side hustle on top of that yet I still have to put in more.

It is very easy to be resentful as a woman when you are providing and secondly when you are providing as a woman you feel like you are walking on eggshells that you dnt demean him. I hate to be the one swiping my card in the supermarket, petrol station, restaurant, etc all the time. I dnt mind helping out but doing everything or doing three quarter of it is a no for me.

As a Christian I believe the Bible says the man is the provider

@@janejustin1788 I challenge you to find that scripture. All the scriptures I've read say God provides, He is our source. Not the husband. Also, where does the Proverbs 31 woman fit then? She should sit back and let her man provide then. But I'm open to learning. Kindly share the scripture. (Being the head, is not the same as being provider).
