I bought this TV used and then I found the menu button did not work. I bought a new remote and had the same issue. Holding the power button down for 60 seconds fixed the issue. Thanks!!!

Thank you so much. If you follow exactly what is directed, it works. My comcast remote uses volume and I could not get the vol buttons to work. But I think there is a menu that allows remote access.

Have a new Vizio XRT122 TV Remote, I power cycled the TV(Actually turned on when I tried to hold the button down for 60 sec, I just turned it off after 60 sec), I held the FWD and Enter button down for 12 seconds while pointing it....since the visual wasn't the same, I pressed the Amazon(Green) and Netflix(red)...and Amazon turned on. It connected and everything works.

Why use the smart tv remote as your thumbnail but not give us the directions to reset that one???? There is no "green" and "red" button or a backlight or anything. This is seriously frustrating cause I can't find anything online to reset the smart tv remote

The remote from walmart didnt work for me...no Manuel. Supposedly the Vizio replacement doesnt need programmed....for now one hdmi is active for my xbox one.but, I cant use any buttons on the old n new remote at all.....only has an power button on lower left side of the Vizio 48"led smart tv.....scared if I reset it by unplugging for 60secs dat I cant use the input for xbox anymore..... could the sensor be wrong

In the first minute of this video I was able to figure out my small mistake! I had been trying to connect my phone or laptop to stream the videos to my Vizio smart tv and I could not figure it out for the life of me. I could not control it because it needed to feed off wirelessly only so i needed to disconnect the internet cord off of my tv!!!! Viola!!!!!!

All I did was unplug my tv wait 12 seconds and plugged it back in and it fixed it
