    I purchased FREE on a whim looking for CDs to buy on one of those club deals in 1988, IIRC. Knew nothing about them. I was blown away. What a powerful voice!

    I grew up in the 60s&70s I listened to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin & the great rock bands, Concrete Blonde ranks right up there with them in my opinion

      I really enjoy this song, and it's so outside my normal listening. But I'm blown away by their heavier and darker stuff like Jonestown. The diversity of this band is exceptional.

      I get the love for Janis, for breaking molds and singing with passion. I can listen to Janis for a few songs, but Johnette all day. Way more sophistication and nuance to what she can do. Just crazy amazing talent.

    Is this drummer Harry Rushakof? This is solid! Never a fan of Concrete Blonde, but was familiar with Joey when it came out. Always thought it was a decent song. Heard it on Sirius 90’s coming home early yesterday and was like wow!! Both these songs!!!!!!

    Like these tunes they did two on this show it seems and really great tunes beautiful voice and Guitar tone Drummer is Perfect the stems from the bass and the drummer and the vocals would be how to learn this Sorry James but how else can I learn lol ill just be borrowing a few things ..

    This was the result of the late 80's "lip synching" thing (thanks Milli Vanilli)! People forget that these singers actually DID have the talent to perform these songs. The album versions were actually sung. Of course they were mixed but these folks did SING them. Not auto-tuned.

    That 12 string bass is not fitting for this situation. The original was 4 string and tight. Commy Tom had to muck it up with all that mud.
