When I was young in Hong Kong you can go in most cafe and order baked pork chop rice but now most of the cafe and restaurant doesn’t really have it on the menu anymore lot of dishes that we eat when I was young don’t really see it anymore
Hi, thank you for your great videos and for sharing your recipes! You can put plastic wrap on top of your meat before pounding to avoid raw meat/juice splatter.
I love yr videos Chef.. for yr nx vid, can u teach us how to make an amazing meal from the boring frozen dory fish..🙏🙏🙏 bcz this tasteless frozen fish is in abundance everywhere but i dont know how to use them ...its so plain that it needs you to tell us how to mk it into an amazing dish🙏🙏🙏 thx chef
I loved this recipe! I’d never had this dish before. It was excellent! I’m sure I didn’t make it as good as you did. What brand is that Dutch oven and where can I get one?
Hi, do you have a recipe for tomato beef? I don't think recipes with green bell pepper are authentic, but I'm wondering what's your take on it? Lovely sweet, tangy, garlicky, tender beef flavor.
Hi lovepotionsinc, we've never tried tomato beef before. I should definitely look out for it since I'm going to Hong Kong next week. Looking forward to giving it a try. Yum!
This looks abso-freaking-lutely delicious, what brand of skillet pans do you use? We tried the copper pans, it held up alright but they can't withstand a little rough treatment, and my grandpa ended up ruining them!
Hi Lola. Opps. RIP copper pans. The Dutch oven in the video is from Greenpan. It’s a ceramic-diamond coated aluminium pot. So far we think it’s very hardy and super lightweight plus super super pleasing to the eye . Love it!
I cooked this dish for dinner yesterday. It was delicious except the pork chopd looked pale even they were cooked, unlike those done by chef. Maybe chef can advise me how to to improve on this.
it depends on how much you want your sauce to thicken, experiment with it, 50/50 will thicken a lot, 2/3 water to 1/3 cornstarch less so, and remember, you have to bring it to a boil, to achieve it's thickening power.
Try the Filipino spaghetti sauce. It's closer to a ketchup than a canned American spaghetti sauce. I think that would be pretty good and similar to one of my favorite late night Chinese restaurants in Daly City, CA called skyline cafe. They do a baked chicken or baked pork chop over fried rice or spaghetti. m.yelp.com/biz/skylines-cafe-daly-city
For me, no need to add 2tspn chicken powder as the eggs is flavorful. I will only add 1/2 tsp chicken powder or sweet paprika or ground turmeric, a pinch pepper & salt.
I never know simple fried rice like this can be so yummy 😋 Thank you chef Roland ❤️ I replaced the pork chop with sausage & ham as I don’t have any pork when I wanted to cook this ☺️
Too bad I already ruined my non-stick pan by using olive oil :(( but will remember when I buy a new one , thanks for the tips. Also very interesting recipes, I love it, love it, love it.

Can I use the same garlic for the marinade to cook with the onion or do I need to use new pieces of garlic
If dont have tomato paste, use normal tomato sauce use how many tablespoon?
Thanks
great
You should really ask the Dutch Oven for a sponser. lol It does look great for cooking though.
Thanks, Murrowboy! The Dutch oven we used in this video was kindly sponsored by greenpan too and we love it. It’s light and durable.
Great

Can I use cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella? 💓💓💓
Actually, using chicken stock powder in any dish will ,ake th food very tasty, right? Even frying plain rice wuth no other flavours
how to make the cornstarch solution? how many teaspoon of cornstarch against how many ml of water?
it depends on how much you want your sauce to thicken, experiment with it, 50/50 will thicken a lot, 2/3 water to 1/3 cornstarch less so, and remember, you have to bring it to a boil, to achieve it's thickening power.
what is in the cornstarch mix? my dad wants me to make this for him!
