Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant Construction Process:
Hoa Binh hydropower plant was started construction on November 6, 1979 and inaugurated on December 20, 1994 (15 years of construction).
- November 6, 1979: Clearance on the river side
- January 12, 1983: Blocking the Da River phase 1
- January 9, 1986: Blocking the Da River phase 2
- December 30, 1988: Unit 1 connected to the national power grid.
- April 4, 1994: Unit 8 connected to the national power grid.
- December 20, 1994: After 15 years of construction, including 9 years of managing and supervising the construction of power units, Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant was inaugurated.
During the construction process, the construction units have dug more than 20 thousand m3, filled nearly 27 thousand m3 of soil and rock; spray drilling 205,000m; installed nearly 47,000 tons of equipment and metal structures.
It can be said that the process of building Hoa Binh hydropower project is a very difficult and arduous process. There have been more than 30,000 officials and workers; 5,000 soldiers of the engineer army, 1,000 managers, and 750 Soviet experts participated in the construction of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant.

Bây giờ vào thủy điện Hòa Bình là mất tiền tham quan. Tham công trình bên ngoài 20.000đ. Tham quan cả bên trong nhà máy nữa là 50.000đ. Ngoài ra còn tiền hướng dẫn viên nữa. Mình cũng không nhớ là tiền hướng dẫn viên bao nhiêu, hôm bữa đi cùng đoàn khác nên 4 người đưa họ 50k.

Đi tham quan công trình bên ngoài thì mình đi ô tô hay xe máy đều được. Vào trong nhà máy thì đi bộ, gửi xe ở ngay cửa nhà máy.
