Summerboard ❤ Freebord ! So cool you can ride with Stella to retry the summerboard experience. For me for a complete snowboarding the street experience, you need both 😁
I know someone with a V1 Battery.. He done a temporary bypass fix and it seems to be working (Rip out the BMS). You're welcome Just started on my Summerboard.. Day 1.. Shakey as hell.. Day 2 with the foot hooks, a lot better, carving and less accidental switch. Letting my legs recover before I head back to my training ground
To give more info: The V2 also has Better Plastic caster bases that do not crack. The frame of the castor also needs to be swapped because it was made stronger and less reliant on the plastic base, the annoying sr360 plates are bolted down instead of pegs. Overall The weaker parts of the drive system were improved. The remaining weak parts of the drive system are the exposed belt drive, risk of snapping/bending axles and damage to the motor are unavoidable until they move to some other drive system like hub motor or hidden motor+gearbox. I imagine the warranty claims have gone down greatly for Summerboard.
Some retired guy’s friend picked one of these up at an estate sale and is about to sell it to me with some extra center wheels for $150 in a few hours. He says it works but he’s not going to get on it.
Just got myself sbx v2 and man this thing is tough javing no background in skateboarding and other sports sure make this tougher , almost ended up with sbxv1 second hand glad I made the cpice to just buy new
Yeah I think the warranty is worth paying for. And despite the issues people (me included) have had, I think Summerboard have demonstrated a strong roadmap and capacity to innovate and are worth supporting if you want to see these boards improve over time! Good luck learning 🙌😎
@@easy_ridersalso, quick question, do you ha e maintenance tips for summerboard? And also my remote battery deplete over timr if I dont use it for few days is it normal?
Hi I wanted to ask if you know if there are Shops where this board is Sold cheaper for example refurbished? Great video btw Edited= what version/bundle do you buy if youre geting it
Yes. But I went back to regular trucks after a few weeks. The axle height is too tall for adequate rocker with stock wheels, so I had to run smaller wheels and the whole setup just wasn’t as good.

@@easy_riders that smell a awesome edit 👌🔥😹
That wheel idea is definitely boosted and mad wheel inspired.

@@easy_riders Thank you I am very determined to learn this, cant wait to get good at it.

Why isn't the base plate carbon for the flex isn't required and it makes it so much stronger for freeestyle

yea sadly the v2 sbx is too new for there to be used parts or board on the market.
@@quinnfoster1234 sadly wuold you buy it alone or in a bundle?
👊
5 days and I learned it.
Great to know! Nicely done 🤙
Where is that exactly?
Has anyone tried to put 5x freebord trucks onto the summerboard sbx?
Yeah! Check out Summerboard Silver Surfer (Anton) he's got that set up and it rides really well 👌
Yes. But I went back to regular trucks after a few weeks. The axle height is too tall for adequate rocker with stock wheels, so I had to run smaller wheels and the whole setup just wasn’t as good.
I still wish it didn't cost so much though. 😅
Me too, I'd buy one in a blink if it was more affordable!
@@easy_riders If it was let's say $600, then heck yeah, I'd almost certainly get one!
I guess they need a way to pay for R&D for next gen!
But yeah, with a 2k pricetag I think they must be targetting older riders...
@@easy_riders Potentially. It sucks because I'd love to buy one if they weren't so crazy expensive.
