ready set let's roll on the farm

This week on the farm we almost finished up planting. Still have 25 acres that are a too wet. We also are sprayed up behind the planter. There will be one pass over almost all the acres when the crops are a little bigger and we will have the final spray done.
Tim and Brian worked on a ditch on one of our farms. Keeping ditches clean helps our fields drain. When I was a little girl my Dad started stressing the importance of drainage.
And one last thing we are battling is our market prices. For those of you who are not farmers our grain prices are in the toilet, and they say it will just get worse. I tell my husband our whole country is in the same boat. And I also go to the verse in the Bible Proverbs 3:5-6. It says to trust in the Lord with all you heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight.
